It was introduced for the first time last year, so it's really not clear whether developers plan to bring it back every year, since it only happened once before.

I think AS mode could be added to already existing maps. Be like Aleksandrovsk, Massacre, Atra, Cologne and so on.
I have experienced this New Year's AS map and mode and I am pretty satisfied with it! Defending the point while other team has more chances to attack is so great, and can be a good training for learning how to defend or attack well in normal battles. But Ikr.. who would play that other "normal" battles when you have AS mode.  :)

Assault mode has been permanently added to the game and the maps have been changed to fit it. See details here.

Assault Mode is complete. Thank god for that. But we need 6 achievements related to Assault Mode and Assault Mode missions as well. I would like to see Assault Mode on more maps as well. For example, Assault Mode on Island map.
