[Declined] Gold Rain Trolls

Recommended Posts

Simple idea.

Gold box rain – a battle where a player or more will drop a gold for the fun of it.

Gold box rain trolls – a battle which is said to be a gold box rain, but truly isn't

Make gold box rains a violation of the rules, or just consider it as actual trolling, and if done, can result in a ban.

If someone says in chat "I'll drop 10 golds in this battle [link]", then it's your choice in whether to trust them or not. It doesn't make sense to ban players for not dropping golds they promised, because "breaking a promise previously posted in chat" would be a ridiculous reason for a punishment.

And wait a sec, "Make gold box rains a violation"? I assume you forgot to add the word "trolling" somewhere in there. Like I said, it's quite a weird rule, so the only way it can relate to the current official rules is for part 2.3.1:
2.3.1. Discrimination towards inexperienced players (newbies): misinformation, intimidation, mockery;

This violation is similar to things like "Press Alt+F4 for gold box!" and usually results in just a warning. Probably day ban at most in cases with really bad karma. Other than that there won't be a separate rule with more serious punishment for this type of "trolling" in chat, which could have just been a joke. Besides, when newbies get trolled and close the game with Alt+f4, they end up losing their score and potential reward, while if you enter a "Gold box rain" battle and find no gold boxes, all you lose is a bit of time.

Yup, trolls are supposed to be killed...or ignored.

(1) Yes, it's up to us to decide, but it's simply annoying how it happens so often and 90% of the time it's a fake. It can simply be provocation, it provokes me. :P

(2) Yes, lying is a bad thing, but not a good enough reason for a ban. I agree, and I see that now.

(3) I'll try to think of another reason.
