Yes, there was no reason to assume that there would be no Olympic celebration this year on Tanki, except there is no celebration this year on Tanki for this years' Olympics.

 

"Tanki does celebrate a lot of holidays which are mainly relevant to only Russia and ex-USSR countries, but that's because way over 50% of the players are Russian, so it makes total sense." Yes, I agree with this statement.

 

I'm not ranting, I'm saying that there are only 2 events that we have in common around the world:

New Year's Day (Jan 01st) and the Olympics

 

Maybe in 3rd, according to (mserbia) is "Tag der Befreiung vom Nationalsozialismus und der Beendigung des 2. Weltkrieges" (Day of the freeing from the national socialism and the termination of the 2nd world war), which was like Victory day in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). Which I honestly didn't know as it was last celebrated as a holiday in 1990 and then the GDR was dissolved with the collapse of the Soviet Union.

 

I'm saying that there should have been an event on Tanki for the olympics, of which not only Russia and ex-USSR countries participate but all countries participate in. It's the only event that brings all countries together.

The Olympics happen once every 4 years, (or 2 years if you include the Winter Olympics).

The Olympics are currently happening in Rio.

 

If only there was a Map on Tanki that somehow showcases Rio. I know it's asking a lot.

Oh wait, there already exists a Map called Rio in Tanki...

 

How difficult would it be to implement during the olympics when a "Gold Box" is dropped, when caught:

 

Turn "God Mode" on for 60 Seconds

OR

increase the Value of the Gold Box

OR

"M-M-M-Monster Kill"

 

All of which have been implemented in the game in the distance past (4 months ago).

So you were ALMOST correct except that 175 out of 195 countries do not celebrate Victory Day.

 

But you know what, there are 207 Countries participating in the 2016 Rio Olympics. That is not almost all, that is all of them.

Because "The Olympics" are the weeks when THE WORLD participates. Not just EUROPE, not just the RUSSIA, but the whole WORLD.

and it was only posted after the weekly VLOG was posted with no mention of the Rio Olympics in the VLOG.

 

I'm also not the one who claimed that "Victory day is almost the world holiday." (T.-029). Which is not correct.

 

Also mserbia just in case you weren't aware, the Olympics aren't a 1 day event. The Olympics are scheduled to end on the 21st of August which is 2 weeks away so there is still time for Tanki to do something.

 

As Tanki did 4 years ago for the summer olympics in London, England (2012), there was no reason to assume that there would be no Olympic celebration this year on Tanki, except there is no celebration this year on Tanki for this years' Olympics.

A news flash for you mserbia, just so you can put it on your calendar and are not surprised the next Winter Olympics will be in PyeongChang, Korean 2018, and the Summer Olympics will be in 2020 Tokyo, Japan.

 

To calculate out when the next olympic games will be after that add 4 years. (ie 2016 + 4 = 2020 Next Summer Olympics)

 

Brazil & The Rio Map: April 10th, 2014

On the 10th of April, the Brazil version of «Tanki Online» was launched. It uses its own database (as well as the Chinese one) and works on a separated server, placed in Brazil, so players won't need to send game-data across the oceans. I doubt that they will add the same things they used for April Fools. The special Gold boxes aren't even related to the Olympics in any way so there is no reason to have them, no matter how simple the update is.

How about something for the The Paralympic Games, Rio, Brazil.

 

The Paralympic Games is a major international multi-sport event involving athletes with a range of physical disabilities, including impaired muscle power.

 

Opening Ceremony 7th of September to Closing ceremony 18th of September which is almost a month from now.

 

Although for the Paralympic Games it seems the entire Russian Paralympic team has really been banned.
