Every Time I Log Onto Tanki Online People In The Chat Capitalize Every Word In Their Sentences And It's An Epidemic.

 

Why Must People Type Like This? Won't The 8-Year-Olds Who Play This Game Ever Learn? Help Me Understand!

I asked myself the same a while back. When I'm in a hurry typing, I can't even be bothered to capitalize the first letter of the sentence, let alone every single word. 
I always felt sorry for people that write in German, since they capitalize the first letter of every noun.

So, like you, I'd love to know why someone would willingly go through the trouble of pressing shift with every new word they type.  :huh:

im happy that I am no longer learning German and that part is extremely annoying

Well I can tell you why I sometimes type like that. It's because I have german phone with a German keyboard and a German auto correction. And my phone is often automatically capitalizing words as you capitalize nouns in German.

ok i can explain a little of what has happened over the years for the North American gramer .. it has been tossed out the window over the years,,

what i mean is that the school boards look at spelling different now.. they allow children to sound out the words and what they hear is correct .. in other words the word cat is now allowed to be spelled as kat .. and in schools here they pass the child all the way to grade 9 and once in grade 9 its the high school that now has to educate them .. this is where a good 45% of the fail and the teens drop out .. due to a lack or education in lower grades .. now there are some who do get fantastic grades and go on the be something in life and then others who are average students .. what i find is the lack of home work given to these children due to most to all work is now done on white boards and in class .. my older two use to have a ton of work ever day ,in elementary grades .. but my youngest never gets home work which i find is wrong due to high school is  loaded down with it.. it do's  not give these children a good foundation on management skills / organization / satisfaction of completion of work and many other fields that should be in place before they reach high school ..

But why make something more difficult than it has to be?

What I said wasn't about not having the time to talk, it was about being able to say more in a given time.. Or in fact, type.

Also, sometimes I want to type fast out of excitement, or to keep up with the speed of the chat.

what is and also has been happening is more players have cell phones and type on them so there use to short abbreviations or caps .. this is was my issue when i first started ,due to typing so much on the phone it took time to switch over to regular typing sort of..

 

also players are use to posting in jot notes .. its faster and easier ... for caps well i have a habit of hitting cap lock when typing by mistake...

The reason I do is, when I press TAB to view battle scores I sometimes accidentally press CAPSLOCK instead. Ok?
