I have been playing tanki on this computer since I have owned it, never had this issue until when i returned after a vacation from tanki.

Does anyone have any ideas why this occurs?

I get in a battle and my game freezes and lags (due to the servers I think)

Anyways it ends up making a wierd noise freezing my computer then it shuts off.

any ideas?

This is not a problem related to Tanki, it can not be.

When you hear a strange sound from your computer and then computer turns off. One of the reasons may be a malfunction of the cooling system. Maybe your cooling system is very dirty and then hardware is getting over heated. Because it does not get adequate cooling.

Have you checked whether the cooling system is working properly?

Take your computer to a repair shop and have them check the cooling system, and if needed replace the fan.

You dont get it. Its not problem in my "fan". Tanki eats my whole memory then crashes pc without reeson am using lowest graphic and lowest resolution and it wont help

This is rarely happening in normal tanki, but in tanki x is impossible to stop

Oh so this is about TX?

Your PC may be too weak for TX. Recommended for TX are i3, 4GB RAM, Inten HD graphics or better. If your PC is more than five years old, you will probably have problems with TX. Maybe consider a faster laptop, and explain your problem with more detail.

There is nothing that can be done about that if the issue is caused by your computer being below the minimum system requirements.

Take out the RAM chips > Rub the golden parts with a piece of soft rubber > Insert them back. See if this helps. Sometimes dust can stick to various parts of the computer. This happened to me and usually happens when you don't turn on your computer for a long time.

If this isn't helpful, try the cooling system thing the above posters suggested. That can also be the cause.

Or just take it to a store like Best Buy® (no I am not being compensated for this recommendation).

NO to clarify I AM TALKING ABOUT TANKI ONLINE NOT TANKI X my fan is fine. It is exactly as said above it kills your computer using too much resources.

Secondly my fan works fine. I also have a program called Hp CoolSense that takes care of the temp. and all that. My computer only crashes if i play tanki.

I was just wondering if anyone has the same issues or if it's me, according to at least 1 of you, it has happened too. So

The issue must be linked to tanki itself and not the computer because never has it used this much before.

Crashes or shuts off (as you previously said)? This is not the same, you know.

Crashes my computer as in makes it freeze then it shuts off or i have to manually powerdown

Crash and shutoff by itself is practically the same thing.

I just add carity to my posts. Some don't understand everything you "Technically" say so you have to explain.

No, they are not.

A crash means that the computer itself stops working or that a program aborts unexpectedly. But it is still powered on.

What OS are you running?

And, you were talking about some noise. That noise sounds more like scratching, or like buzzing?

Could you provide your computer specifications?

Please do these steps:

  1. Press "Windows key + R" on your keyboard.
  2. Type in "dxdiag"
  3. Click "OK" or press "Enter".
  4. If it shows a pop-up, click "No".
  5. When it finishes loading, take pictures of the "System" and "Display" tabs and post them here.

I've had a similar problem. When I was in a battle, my computer could all of a sudden decide to crash. The screen turned black and it started to make weird noises. It didn't happen every day, but if it happened once, it'd happen a 2nd, 3rd, ... time quickly after each other leading to me having to quit playing. The next day I could just restart playing. I let a specialist look at my computer and repair strange things if he encountered them.  The problem has since never occurred again.

Exactly what happens it freezes well it shows where ever i am at in a map and freezes, then goes off and reboots.

. I have never had this issue until the last few months (a few times before my summer break of tanki)

My specs

Windows 8.1

64X (64 bit)

AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics

check your temperature to see what it is .. its could be over heating

if fan is ok check to see if your heat sink is connected  properly ? some times they get loose form the connection

also check to see if fan has dust build up .. even if fan is going .. the dust or lint build up could  be under the fan blades

I assure that is taken care of my computer is equipted with HP coolsense that will notify me if issues occur

xD I am a programmer and know enough to know if something isnt working the only time it shuts off is when i play tanki it seemed to stop now knock on wood, It may be because of periods of time i may not play a while and tankis gears get crossed idk.

I've been having a similar problem, actually. I'd be really into a TO match and my cpu just randomly shuts down on me (which is one reason I haven't downloaded the client yet). The problem is even worse in TX.

It doesn't even freeze for me though. It just cuts off.
