its so sad for tanki to do this on the heals of these  guys who worked so hard on the weekend for the visits from tanki staff and they toss this update in on them ( to me a slap in there face ) which i find is wrong and insulting to  them.. those guys who did the event deserve praise for the long hours and hard work making the video and arranging things .. ( this is only for the players who won the video contests ) ..

 

good job guys / girls i hope it was fun ..

I edited my post a bit late hence I'm quoting it so Cedric can read my thoughts. I saw in one of your posts (Cedric) on a comment made by AbsoluteZero, that we shouldn't worry about Flash, that you'll take care of it too.

We made it clear that we'll continue to support both games.

We certainly need clarification on Tanki Online's future.

What are the triggers that would make AP pull the plug and what does Hazel mean by "up to players"?

 

The numbers playing the flash version will certainly go down once tanki-x is launched and the picture for Flash is already a stagnated one imo. We certainly do have valid concerns about the flash version so it's time for some detail in that regard.

I'd also like to see how you see the future of Flash while Tanki X is on air. What our the plans for Flash while Tanki X has launched. Will you take care of it or is it up to the players as Hazel-Rah once stated. Some post are contradictory and it'd be pleasant for all parties if we can stick to one truth, to one vision on Flash's future. This can be stuff for the next V-LOG, perhaps.  ^_^

true .. now i do remember that there was a posting from Seymon and the dev's about what would happen to accounts if it could not be transferred but i can't seem to find it..

 

also you noticed that mods are watching the thread but not posting here .. would like to get there input on all of this

Yes, we fully intend to keep supporting Tanki Online and releasing new content for it.

I'd say the trigger would be if the expense of supporting the game would outweigh the revenue it brings in, that is, if it stopped being profitable (which is basically the benchmark for any business, because after all, we ARE a business)

 

Also, the Flash version won't be a flash version anymore. As I've already said, we're working on an independent client.

it only worked if players buy into it.. most players are saving there money now ..seeing the uncertainty of tanki... there either changing over or leaving now...

I want to give Tanki Devs a big thumbs up for the brilliant addition of Displaying Damage inflicted and the x10 thing to make it clearer. I'm happy to see this so we can put to bed any suspicions we may have of cheating and we can confirm if hit detection is working. Sometimes I wonder how some players seem to survive shots from all angles from multiple players. I know lag is sometimes a factor in this. A big +1 from me for that addition to the game! Good job!! :lol:
