Experience points for Flipping Opponents

Recommended Posts

Experience points are currently rewarded to players in battle for actions that benefit the team. Examples of such actions include destroying players from opposing teams, capturing capture points, and capturing and returning flags.

Another action that gives the team a huge advantage, but does not reward experience points is flipping opposing players. This except from http://en.tankiwiki.com/Flipping highlights how useful a flipped opponent is:

"A flipped tank is one less active tank on the battlefield, which means, for a short period of time, there are more players on your side contributing to the ultimate goal; winning. You may be thinking that 10 seconds (less than that, in the average circumstances) isn't a lot, but when racked with the time it takes to respawn, and the time it takes to get back into the action, it becomes a lot more substantial than initially thought. "

As you can see, flipping enemy tanks is a huge benefit and should be rewarded by experience points. It would also be useful if a notification on the right side of the screen said "TankerXYZ flipped TankerABC" similar to the "TankerXYZ has destroyed TankerABC".

EDIT:

Smart idea tbh, maybe if flipped sideways its 5 points and flipped upside down is 10, double exp if opponent has flag

^Great idea :)

EDIT: To all the people replying and saying "what if I get flipped right-side up again by by turrent or a teammate?" I suggest that the experience is still earned by the teammate because now there are more players on the enemy team distracted and trying to help the flipped player.

EDIT:

Even if you don't get xp for flipping people I still think everyone who damaged a tank still gets their xp, whether they are killed or they self destruct, this would stop mults, because the loss of score does not do that very well, as I have discovered. So I think we should still get xp for damaging people when they self destruct, and in DM whoever was the last peron to deal damage to a tank that self destructs gets a kill, or maybe whoever did the most damage.

^^^Another good idea

How will the system decide that? For example, if the opponent's turret touchs the ground after in 5 seconds I shoot or I touch?

hmmmmm...or maybe the same way the self-destruct advice popped up back in the good old recruit days...

Someone has finally noticed, thank you

It is happening to us all, that we don't get experience points / battle score when one of the damaged opponents self destruct.

In the Polygon CP battles (yes, I am mostly playing Polygon CP) I'm one shot close to destroy the opponent. But, my opponent get self destructed from some of reasons:

- Because he is using Thunder.

- Because he sees that he will lose the duel and he is pressing the DEL key.

- Because he is using Vulcan.

In all this^ cases we get 0 experience points / battle score.

Is it really fair, after a player drains out his Firebird (for example), to get 0 experience points / battle score, because one of the opponents self destructed? I think not.

We should get experience points / battle score according to the inflicted damage on self destructed enemy tank.

What if we do tricks to get back again  :P ?

Will be pretty hard to let game be that smart.

Score still given to enemies haha, no deduction whatsoever

For the idea, nice one!

So when you flip a tank and it self destructs, only then you earn score and kill. Why? Well i can flip and teamate can help me to get up.

When a person pushes an enemy tank over or off the map, they should get rewarded rather than just the enemy getting penalized.

Oh heck no. There are plenty of ways to get exp. And besides I don't want to be ranking up too fast as it would leave me vulnerable to the m2 and soon m3. But it would be great for increasing the battle fund only.

And I don't get why earning exp is such a huge issue. Quite frankly I think we should earn less exp and more crystals. We should have an option to turn off earning exp in battles but still get crystals no matter what.
