Rare Equipment 

 

In the paint disintegration update that was introduced recently, LGC (legacy) protective modules were replaced by new sets of M/D/T modules. This will effectively make the LGC modules a rare item as time passes by. Eventually a part of the currently active players who own these LGC modules will leave, and hence make some of the rarer LGC modules virtually non-existent.

 

However, these modules weren't special ones like Red Suit or Moonwalker. So, they could potentially be put on sale for a limited period of time and/or with limited quantity up for grabs. This will pretty much be like yard sales or auctions of vintage items and memorabilia. One-time opportunities. For example, we could have the Jade LGC module on sale for half an hour for two days in one month and Digital LGC in the month after.

 

This could also be applied for XT items which have probably become less of a craze ever since 3 hr. premium missions came around. 

 

Limited-Edition Equipment

 

Likewise, limited-edition paints, gifts and other items could be introduced from time to time. They could be available for a specified short period of time or have limited stock. This is pretty much the way how Traceur and Moonwalker were sold. These items should preferably be expensive so that the rarity factor is retained (or as I said, have limited stock so that only a lucky few can buy them).

Cool idea. I think that we would really have to wait a year or so for the LCG modules to become kind of rare, but then it would be cool to see.

 

I really like the paints idea. I've always wanted moonwalker, but started playing Tanki a few months after the moonwalker event.

Tanki should also make a module for premuim users cause premuim paint is useless it just looks good.

The modules part is gone now. LGC modules no longer exist.
