Introducing a TeamSpeak 3 Channel.

Recommended Posts

It's been years since Tanki Online is running, why not introduce a TeamSpeak 3 channel for our community so we can talk to other players or friends while playing a battle.

Instead of stopping every time to say something in chat and get type-killed by some mad russians it will be very useful talking on TeamSpeak instead.

TeamSpeak 3

Teamspeak 3 Client:

To Connect a server, Click "Connections" > "Connect":

Then you see the following, enter a IP of TeamSpeak channel to connect:

After connecting a server it might look like this:

If you own a TeamSpeak channel then you can give moderation to select players just like in-game.

If you don't know what is TeamSpeak and how it works then let me explain: TeamSpeak is a client for gamers who can talk to other players using their mic and headphones/speakers of their PC/Macbook/Laptop. Feel free to remove any image that showing a server IP not from Tanki Online or Tanki X.

Instead of stopping every time to say something in chat and get type-killed by some mad russians it will be very useful talking on TeamSpeak instead.

Under review.

It would be hard organizing such a service. Big TS servers cost a lot of money.

I think money is not a problem for Tanki ;)

Majority are juveniles. I don't think they have sufficient permissions to go on a Voice Comm with another Online freak from around the globe.

well you don't get my vote.

If you've ever played with randoms or with non-yet-trained clan members on a teamspeak channel, then you know why -> It is pure chaos.

It makes sense, that you have to type what you want, because it makes you communicate much less!!! (as typing takes more time).

With voice based communication the whole channed gets filled up with useless talk all the time, even if only 6 players share one channel.

If you dont believe it, start a clan, get a TS, and try to organize a training with 6 random members.

I wish you good luck! You'll need it :) :) :)

Why not Skype? It's easy to use, reliable and has a browser version which is pretty stable and doesn't cause much lag (At least for me)

Why not an integrated TeamSpeak channel for individual clans in the upcoming Clan system?

Why not an integrated TeamSpeak channel for individual clans in the upcoming Clan system?

this would be awesome, especially if they manage that only clan players + chosen guests have access to it (guests are needed to test recruits in trainings).

But of course also expensive. As Tanki gives us hardly enough servers (we face server based lags between players with decent low ping every day) I doubt that they spare the money for a TS server.

But still.. it would be greeat for clans.

One is already held by the RU eSports I think, so it shouldn't be too hard to get another big TS. Also the RU eSports TS can have upto 1024 clients, so yeah...

This is how you will manage the server once created.

There will be one server and 6 rooms in it, the three will be for Russia and the rest 3 will be for English to avoid any kind of disturbance and if there is new clans born in future then we have to make a room for each clan and the current ones and give the leader moderation over it, we also need to hire moderators to watch the server.

EDIT:- You can make many rooms depending on amount of players use it.

If they pay, why would they choose Tanki's server and not get themselves a fresh one instead? Having a personal server will minimise the risk of ddos.

If i remember that right, a TS3 room with about 20 slots (20 parallel users) costs between 1..2 EUR per month;

traffic included as long as you use it for voice only (no music or other constant load).
