Help needed.

I'm suffering from the Vulcan heat glitch (which I thought had been sorted) and repair kits that don't repair me.

M2 Vulcan and Titan heats up as soon as I hit the trigger but only sometimes and repair kits don't even repair the 1000hp they are supposed to and won't repair for 3 seconds even though I'm not taking damage.

Any ideas?

This should be in Bugs and Glitches, surely?

Most likely that's because of the fact that the fewer lags you're having the better you'll be able to play. For eSports even a little lag could mean the difference between winning and losing an important match. eSports players will try their best to avoid lags as much as possible. On top of that, I don't think that players who suffer from lags a lot will make it very far in eSports, generally speaking.

I agree, but that doesn't really answer my question. What do eSports players have that most of us don't?

I'll take my situation as an example: Tanki was playing fine for a long time. One day, I logged in and the lag was so bad, the game was absolutely unplayable. FPS was 0-5 (approximately). The forum was teaming with complaints. We were told, it's not Tanki, so it's got to be your computer...clear your browser. I did all that and the game was still unplayable. Admittedly, I had an old computer with a short memory span. Essentially, it was designed to browse the web and send emails, very basic.

I took my computer to a friend whose job is computer repair (his business and he was (still is) the only employee). He told me the computer had no memory left. He loaded all my important files on to a disk and wiped the computer clean then reinstalled the factory files and settings. I came to Tanki and it was nearly unplayable. The FPS went up to around 10. Thinking my computer was so old and outdated, I spent the extra money (about $500.00 more than I could comfortable afford). Came to Tanki and it was still lagging very badly. My conclusion was, it's not my computer. However, on eSports, not one player was lagging. There were still many players complaining. Much more than there is now. My computer Geek friend is a big time gamer. He wanted to make sure he didn't have any lag and built his own. I logged on to Tanki using his computer. There was still a lot of lag, not quite as much as on mine. We both have the same ISP.

Then one day, after a very long break, I logged on to Tanki and, magically, the lag was gone. Recently, I've noticed a new lag (for me anyway). If i turn my turret to look around the corner for an enemy tank I know is there, I turn the corner and start shooting. But my turret is stuck in the peeking-around-the corner mode. Just for a split second, but that split second is a deadly one.

A few days ago, I was watching eSports on YouTube. As before, no one was lagging. So, are you saying that all the eSports participants have very high end computers that are guaranteed, somehow, never to lag? I watched several eSports tournaments streaming live. No one lags, no one is rubberbanding (which is mostly because of the internet connection caused by the router or the IP connection of which the player has very little control), staring at walls, tanks spinning turrets for a second or two immediately after respawning (another new one I had never seen before) dropping flags, etc.

Speaking of dropping flags, that was a huge issue a short while back that players were complaining about.  Another case of...it's not Tanki so it must be your computer (the drill). Now, I rarely see it. Did everyone get new computers? Get new routers? Change ISPs?

In eSports, are all the participants scrutinized about their computer's performance, their ISP connection, the type of router they are using, to insure no one lags? Do participants have to submit their computer's specs to make sure they meet with Tanki's specifications? There is a reason why eSports participants don't lag, but we do. I find it hard to believe that all the participants have very high end gear.

Why is that so hard to believe? Maybe they have gaming gear, live close to servers so no PING issues, things like that- it isn't as if that's impossible, because the people who get to YouTube stages are usually serious players, not those who are just here for a couple of games.

If I buy a Rename pass, How can I send it to someone I purchased for?

OR

How can I buy Clan license for someone without opening their account?

Like they do.

I'm not a computer expert so I don't know exactly how it's possible that one player has no lags and another has a lot of lags. I don't know all the factors that play a role. I don't have a very advanced laptop nor any special internet or router (it's slow but stable) and I rarely face lags while playing. However, it's not such a far stretch to think that players that rarely face lags get into eSports more often and advance more quickly.

That's not to say though that all lag issues are solely caused by something on the players' end. In some cases it's a combination of issues on Tanki's end and on the players' end (e.g. not being able to pick up drops or do damage right after joining a battle), in other cases it's on Tanki's end and in other cases it's on the players' end. As for the dropping flags issue, that was definitely a bug (on Tanki's end).

would it be possible for a mod to put me on her ignore list?

Yes, that's possible, just like every other player can put you on his/her ignore list.

I just finished first place on the winning team of a battle with a 2000 fund, and I received 0 crystals. Can anyone explain why?

It is a bug- either you have already had the crystals added to your account, or you should have them after next server restart.

people(esport players)  who spent over 1k $ in a month in an online game very likely to have high end computers even custom built one.

btw,the reason of the lag is due to tanki servers .probably esports battles have their own dedicated server.

Thank you. That's the most reasonable answer I have gotten that makes sense. Why did the Mods skirt around that?

ESports only had a dedicated server during the Starladder contract a few years ago where the prizes were much higher. You don't need a high end computer for Tanki.

Why did the Mods skirt around that?

Because eSports servers don't exist anymore.

Truth is as Coop said earlier, if you suffer from lags you won't get very far in eSports.

1.Fastest way to complete daily missions ? Its a drug fest and its really hard to even do anything sometimes. I do have supplies( ~150 each) but I'm worried how I'll manage if they finish at one point .

2.Also ,what difference does it make if we play on the HTML5 version? Is it better for competetive play(XP) ?

Depends on which missions. Some like Capture Flags can be done in Assault mode which is a lot faster than CTF. Best ask for some tips here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=273237

The goal of the HTML5 version is to provide a better experience than Flash. Since it is being tested that isn't the case for all players, best thing you can do is try it for a couple of hours and see if you like it. It isn't really better for competitive play since it isn't very stable sometimes.

Really ,capture flag mission counts on asl ? i thought it is for ctf,

In ASL there is also a flag so why wouldn't it count? I haven't tried it myself but I heard it does work.

Clear cache. Do you play on client?

It happens because of slow internet too.

Its a bug, I don't know of any fix, but clearing cache doesn't work. I've learnt to live with it...

Sometimes I experience that as well. it's either slow net, but most of the time it's another player that has taken my place in that battle;p Or the battle was a few seconds to the end of the match, then you would go straight back to the Lobby.

I've tried using different browsers but to no avail, and clearing cache doesn't seem to help either . This could be a bug that only high ping users experience (I get ~85) . My internet speed is not bad at all (18 mbps) . Also , I am pretty sure that it's not because somebody else has joined in before you, because most of the time that spot is still empty when I click on the battle list and try to join that battle again .
