Questions & Answers - FAQ - Tanki Online Forum

I was using Chrome to play. Every other battle didn't load, so I changed to Firefox. I hadn't used Firefox for playing Tanki in several months. After logging in, I got a loading bar that went 3/4 of the way over. That disappeared and another showed that went 3/4 of the way over. That one disappeared, too and was replaced with a third loading bar. That one went all the way over, but instead of going to the lobby, I went directly into a DM battle. I logged out of the battle and was sent to the lobby. I saw I was in pro battle mode, not MM.

How did all this happen? This is the first time I logged into Tanki and went directly into a battle not of my choosing instead of the lobby.

I was looking through the alterations of turrets, first in EN Wiki and then in RU Wiki. I have a 3 questions:

1...How come some turrets have more alterations than others? Seven turrets have 3 alterations, 3 turrets have 4 alterations, 1 turret has 5 alterations, 1 turret has 6 alterations and 1 turret has 7 alterations.

2..Will there be more alterations being added to the game for the turrets with less alterations?

3...Why are some turret names different in the RU Wiki as compared to the EN Wiki? (Just curious)

Examples:

Firebird (EN)....Flamethrower (RU)

Isida (EN)...Isis (RU)

Vulcan (EN)...Volcano (RU)

Railgun (EN)...Rail devices (RU)

Others are spelled a little differently, but I attribute that to the translation.

More precisely? ok then, mmm...

A print screen key (PrtSc) is a useful key found in most keyboards, and is supported by most keyboards & personal computers. U+2399 is the Unicode character assigned for print screen. The print screen key provides the user with the functionality of capturing the image or text found on screen display.

  1. This is just what devs came up with at the moment. I don't know if they plan to release more alterations for the turrets which have less right now, but it's also possible that they simply couldn't come up with interesting enough alterations to bring the total up to 7. Or perhaps they did have ideas, but couldn't balance them right.
  2. They did not mention any plans to add more alterations, but it's definitely possible. That being said, I doubt it will happen anytime soon (i.e. almost certainly not this or even next year)
  3. This is because you're using an automated translator. The actual Russian names are almost identical, so Isida actually sounds like "Isida" and Vulcan is also just "Vulcan" (but the words happen to be translated into Isis and Volcano in English). Railgun is just "Rail" in Russian and Firebird is Flamethrower - this is done to make the turret names sound better when spoken.

I always thought Firebird was more like a flamethrower than a bird.

Hello, someone can explain how the miner drone works? More precisely I know that if my tank is destroyed some mines survive, but what if I get killed again? I want to know if the mines survive forever (until an enemy pass over them), or survive only one death of the owner.

I think your tank can be destroyed only one time.

You can find more information here ; https://en.tankiwiki.com/Drones

Unfortunately the wiki doesn't exactly specify what Xone has suggested above, I'll try and have someone test it out and report the results, I'll edit this post with the observations!

Edit: The mines will remain forever no matter how many times you die. Mines will disappear based on how many you can put(maximum of 9 i believe), but self destructing or getting killed won't make your mines disappear. Leaving the battle is the only way for the mines to go away.

Just a small fact that Isis is the name of the goddess of healing

Don't confuse it with something else

isis4.jpg?w=490

I'm aware of that. Isis is a more appropriate name. I don't know where they came up with Isida.

Even Nives isnt sure how it works, but he suspects that they survive for one death.

Why use something like this? You have a fixed aim...

You are less vulnerable if attacked from behind, for one. Or if you like Magnum but not its mechanics.

I have 25k more crystals than I had earlier today when I logged in. I'm not complaining about this, but I'd like to know on whether or not I was hacked. My stars for the star week have not increased, so I don't know how my account would have the crystal increase without any gameplay. Is there some golds in the Halloween map that are worth 25K or something and I didn't notice earlier?
