Can non-team-members share Overdrive?

 

In a Massacre DM battle during the weekend a trio of rail players were "teaming up".

This unto itself is frowned upon since DM is supposed to be "every person for him/herself".

 

However, I also noticed that when one of them triggered the Overdrive, ALL of them seemed to get the benefit.

However, I also noticed that when one of them triggered the Overdrive, ALL of them seemed to get the benefit.

It's not possible to share overdrive with others in DM mode, maybe they all used it at the same time and it looked like only 1 player activated it and others got it because of him.

Yes, I think so.

If you have Premium Account and Beginner's Pass at the same time, their bonuses add up, which means that you receive x2 more experience points and x3 more crystals in every battle.

You just need to equip Vulcan and anything that gives you exp points, be it killing or capturing flags/points will count.

When I finished the battle and went back to the lobby, I checked to be sure I clicked on the right button. Yes, I was in CTF. So, why was RGB there? Last week, I clicked on TDM and ended up in a DM battle.

This is very usual, except I think most people don't get caught in the wrong mode. It's a bug that isn't fixed yet.

I didn't click on a CTF battle and went to RGB, but rather RGB was among the CTF battles. The same with the DM in TDM battles. They were in the wrong list.

Exactly- most people actually look at what battle they are entering, nd therefore don't get into the wrong mode. I find it hard to understand how you didn't notice there was only one button to enter the DM battle when you thought it was TDM.

When you first load the game a battle is automatically selected from any mode. If you set a mode filter the automatically selected battle will remain in the list regardless of which mode you select. Its not really a bug.

 

The same happens when you click a battle link in the chat while in a different mode fliter.

After I made the inquiry, I went back to the lobby and clicked on CTF. Barda RGB was there and on all the other battle modes. i clicked on RGB and of course Barda is there as it should be. I went back to CTF and Barda RGB was gone and was gone from the other battle modes. Just now, I went into the lobby to play some TDM and there was Barda RGB back again and in all the other battle modes, too. I clicked on RGB, but didn't play, then checked the other battle modes and Barda RGB is gone. I played a TDM on Osa. After the battle was over, I went back to the lobby to play CTF and there was Barda RGB again. 

 

If this is normal and not a bug, then the Devs put it in there for a reason. What is that reason? In neither News and Announcements nor any of the V-Logs have I seen anything mentioned about this. No one has said, "We have added a new feature, it's called the misplaced battle. When you click on a game filter and you see a battle mode that shouldn't be there, that's the new feature. It is not a bug. We did that intentionally. Give us your feedback on this new update."

Here's how it works: 

 

In this update individual battle filters were introduced. From then onwards, players can only choose to look at a single list of battles all from the same mode.

When you log-in to the game Tanki will automatically suggest a battle from any mode regardless of which filter you have selected from your last log-in. This means that a suggested CTF battle can appear in a list of DM battles.

 

To remove the suggested CTF battle from your list of DM battles click on the CTF filter then go back to your DM filter, the CTF battle won't be there anymore.

 

Note: I've used CTF and DM as examples to simplify the explanation, obviously this goes for all other modes and filters too.

Stable in terms of ping? Ping is determined by the distance between you and the game server, your ISP's performance, your internet speed, and so forth. In terms of overall performance (FPS etc.), both the official game client and standalone flash player are (usually) the best two options for playing, just try out both and see which one works best for you.
