Does anyone know how the matchmaking system works and how it decides who goes into battle with whom? What are the criteria and what weight does each criterion have? Thank you.

The matchmaking system chooses players based on their experience points and overall Efficiency, which can be viewed in a player's ratings. When placed, players will never always play with users of the same rank, but the matchmaking system rounds up the overall experience in the battle, and places each player according to the range of ranks he/she is in. For example, it is literally impossible for a Legend to be placed in a battle with Majors, since there's a huge gap between their experience points and efficiency, but he/she can be placed with Generallisimos or Field Marshals.

Occasionally, a player will start a poll. Are these polls taken seriously by the Mods and/or Devs? Are they considered an information resource?

Forum polls are basically just public opinions, and although Moderators and Administrators do tend to read them whenever they come across them, they are usually not considered as an information resource unless the poll given is highly contributive and/or has a massive amount of votes casted. Nevertheless, these are quite rare, and I find contributions in the Ideas and Suggestions Section to be a much more conclusive source of player generated information.

Just like Miro said, but remember to upload it to an image hosting site first. (In the example he used Imgur, I prefer Postimage, but either is fine.)

well in my opinion there is no best hulls or turrets all of that just depend on how you play\how fast you react\how is your aim.

if you focused on that 3 reasons you could make any weapons OP by playing with it in the right way.

Why was the original Product Kit system removed from the garage and replaced with a "random" Product Kit system? The Group of Product kits placed in the garage was determined by which week of the month  it was. Now the system "randomly" chooses and most people don't like this feature. I've been waiting to get Tornado kit for a whole 6 weeks now and so far it hasn't showed up yet, and I've seen Pit bull kit at least 3 times in the garage. So back to the main question, Why id this update take place? Updates are usually meant to make the game better, not worse

Hey Keemstar,

The reason this so-called "random" kit feature was implemented was mainly so that players would pay for the kits (in the shop) instead of waiting for the kits to appear in the garage. You see, when one knows exactly when something will happen, it is a lot easier to wait for it. Especially if there's not long left. However, when something may happen "randomly", it is much harder to wait; we will always try to find an easier (or faster) way for it to happen if you will.

Players now get tired of waiting around for a certain kit to appear, so they simply buy it from the shop (for real money). This way, the game benefits much more by making a profit. I can see why most people aren't so fond of this feature but when one looks it from the developers' point of view, it all makes much more sense.

It makes more sense from a developers point of view, but at the same time developers are supposed to make the game better for the people, not themselves. That's why most updates are usually supposed to make a positive impact on the game.

Hey,

Not all updates can benefit the players. Some updates are needed to keep the balance in the battles, others help the game keep running. If Tanki Online didn't earn enough profit, it would eventually be shut down — there won't be any players left then. Some updates need to be implemented regardless of whether it benefits us or not. I have been waiting for the exact same kit in question (although I am not WO5 yet). It is probably one of the best kits available at low ranks. I get why you may be frustrated. If you really want to buy the kit and don't like waiting, the only best option left for you is to pay for it. Otherwise, we simply can wait for a certain kit to appear and have the developers in our prayers

But why put the players down to make profit, when you can make profit while keeping a satisfied player base? There are so many things developers can do to keep the game fair for regular players and still make profit. For example, they can add extra crystals and/or supplies to product kits bought in shop and still keep the old kit cycle.

What's wrong with TDM? I clicked on it and a popup said the the server you are trying to connect with is unavailable. I clicked on it a few minutes later and the button wouldn't push. Played another battle, went back to TDM and waited over 3 minutes (I was watching TV), it never connected.

Hello, are you facing this issue only while playing on TDM mode? If not, you can try clearing your browser cache if you're using browsers, or you could uninstall/re-download the game client or the flash player if you're using that. For more extensive guidance, you can also direct your complaints to this topic right here

Unfortunately, the gross profit from increasing prices isn't as sustainable as resetting the kit cycle. Say a guy is really fond of apples and cannot survive a day without them. He finds that the price of apples has been, increased by say, a dollar. This would give a profit of one dollar per apple right? A much more beneficial scenario is that, you now have to use maps to find apple stores in the first place, and although maps seperately do cost alot, they provide much more value if you manage to find apple stores whilst using them.

The maps end up producing much more value, but only applicable to people who are willing to buy them in the first place. The first scenario has the guy fond of apples, meaning he's had them before, and it makes it harder for the guy to get apples. The second scenario introduces a map that allows you to access all apple stores, but unfortunately it is the only way to purchase apples. This second scenario is actually worse for the guy if he is willing to buy the pricey map, for some pricey apples, instead of simply getting pricey apples. There are 3 endings to the second scenario

1.) He goes with the flow, buys the map and lives his life

2.) He becomes a bum and starves himself until another apple grows on a tree

3.) He decides not to spend money on the map ( maybe he's poor, maybe he has better things to spend it on, etc; ) and commits suicide

The first ending  would be spending money on this game to get your kits, crystals, etc;

The second ending would be to struggle in this game and end up labeled as a noob

The third ending would to choose not to spend money on Tanki and quitting

Most people that used to be tankers had the last ending and most of current tankers have the 2nd ending. The first ending is an extremely small population of tankers and can still take place without the other two endings often taking place

Hello, i have a question but didn't find anywhere to ask about it. My problem is that i can't buy the pro battles pass;with money or with the crystals.

I wasn't playing the game for months and now i logged in and i see i don't have enough crystals and the rank required

to buy the pro pass.

I would like to play parkour battles ... now what should i do? you know its like a bug and i already told this to the developers and moderators but i don't know why after months they haven't dealt with problems like this one.

Hello, this is not a bug. The recent changes while you were away implemented a change in the pro pass mechanics. Now only players with the rank of Warrant Officer 1 or higher can purchase the pro pass. If you're under that, I suggest saving up crystals and keep playing in non-PRO battles, if you're really determined to get the PRO pass and participate in parkour battles. In your ranks, there won't be many supply users, so you'll barely notice the difference during gameplay.

.......

.......

The apples aren't gone, they're just scattered just like specific kits are scattered in the garage. If you don't get a map to find surplus apples, there will still be opportunity for you to get them like everyday, normal people do, just as non-buying F2P players purchase kits. The only thing you're sacrificing is time. Yes, apples will be harder to purchase but win-win scenarios aren't mutually beneficial for both the purchaser and the suppliers, there needs to be something given in order for something to be taken. If the suppliers quit promoting the use of the apple map, they end up with even less funds, which leads to an even more decrease in apples.

Basically saying, try oranges. They're way better, you'll Vitamin C soon enough *cough*

But the suppliers aren't promoting use of the apple map, they're simply creating a disadvantage for people who don't want to spend money on a map to push them into buying it, but there is a large probability that it backfires and ends up raising the suicide rates and starves people instead of accomplishing the initial mission. Basically, Tanki is making it harder for F2P players just to push them into buying, but they can simply avoid harming F2P's and still promote themselves by adding convincing bonuses. It seems like making people struggle is working, but it ends up in the suppliers receiving the same customers, it just seems like an increase of customers due to the fact they practically got rid of numerous people which ends up making the number of customers larger,
