Why iPhones Suck?

Recommended Posts

I have some kind of "trauma" from Android. I had a Samsung Ace product and after about 2 months, it started having battery issues (I could use it for about 10 minutes before the battery ran out). I then bought an IPhone 4S and it works perfectly till now (2 years). I like apple as it is much easier for me to use

Nowadays products are made to last only a couple of years. In the past, products were made to last a lifetime. Yet the products sold nowadays sell good, but suck compared to the older products.

Yes, products lasted longer before, that is true. But there's one more thing that applies to most electronic products. And that is technological obsolescence.

For example. If you buy today iPhone 6 for 500 euros, once the iPhone 7 appears in stores, your iPhone 6 will not be worth more than 400-450 euros. Even if you didn't unpacked the box.

Ah, this old debate. My main issue with Apple products is the massively overinflated price you pay. Older products do slow down with the latest software, that's partly cause the new software is designed with the latest hardware in mind, but also to force you to upgrade, but that's not just an Apple thing. The Apple software from what I've heard (I have v limited experience with it) is actually pretty good, which is why some people are willing to pay the price for it. If prices dropped to something reasonable and equivalent to other products of similar specs (PC or Android phone etc) then maybe I would consider buying something Apple.

The latest hilarious overpricing I compared was a Mac Pro. On the configurator for the Mac Pro, I upgraded from the base 6 core model; 16GB to 64GB of RAM and a 6 to 8 core processor. Those upgrades cost over £2k. For little less money, I could build this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/9nyvf8 You're talking a just released 10 core processor (which is also overpriced, which tells you how much more the Mac is overpriced), twice the RAM, double the SSD storage in M.2 form + 8TB of HDD space in Raid 1, and two new top end graphics cards. To upgrade from 16GB to 64GB of RAM will cost you £960. To upgrade. The whole 128GB kit only costs £630! Oh and those Mac Pros are using hardware a couple of years old to start with. That's why I don't buy Apple products.

Only the expensive Samsung's perform well...hence why I switched to htc.

Wrong Mac is for WORK not gaming so don't expect 80 fps on tanki

Mac is okay, but it is not great. It is not that reliable or high tech; my 2004 Dell laptop runs about the same as my friends 2010 Mac...Macs just look cooler and are actually not that high tech compared to other laptops. Apple usually is made for looks and it's tech has a short life span if you want to use all of its capabilities consistently even if it is not multi-purpose.

Ah, the militant Apple fanboy is back. A Mac, laptop or desktop, has computer hardware in, and sometimes decent stuff at that, so I'd expect the hardware to perform and do what it's capable of, getting 60fps in Tanki isn't hard, no need for a gaming rig/laptop. Also, how do you get to decide what everyone else uses their computers for?

I never said "use this computer that PC sucks"

I love Apple's OSX for photography and recording music with all their programs and services... but ehh, I've windows/android for everything else.

Then why do schools have Apple PC instead of Samsung or crappy chrome books? Why not Windows? Cause you can eat apples, and they are delicious and the best Edited by Agent101us

A fruit which you can eat.

Idk since never used any of their products, but you can get much better specs in the amount as much as you pay for a mac I think.

Apple products have better quality in general, but spec wise they are nothing special.

A $4k mac would be better or a damn good gaming rig of $4k with much better spec bult by yourself be better? In computer market, Imho the overall performance matters not how cool the computers look. Btw, they don't make anything other than the shell/case afaIk, I think. Idk for sure.

See my example below for a pretty obvious answer!

As someone who went looking for a new laptop, the Macbook Air I bought cost somewhere around $500 whereas a decent gaming laptop cost $3000. The reason I bought a mac is for the fact that it has no keyboard ghosting. I just can't play with keyboard ghosting
