A REALITY CHECK

In Tanki Online a lot of players log in everyday to drive their tanks and to destroy others. We usually see them doing that but have you ever wondered who is controlling the tank ? What is the person actually like ?  In internet, as a whole, false identity creation has become a huge problem. The fraud and scam cases are rising rapidly and in Tanki, a game where there are mods and community managers who actively keep an eye on such issues, are sometimes beaten. Many people fall victim to frauds and scams. It's usually due to us trusting someone very deeply ( in the game as well in the internet). In this article I will shed some light on why it is never good to trust someone in the game ( and on the internet) blindly.

In this game it's common that we all make random friends while battling or while at the chat. Even I do that even though I do not know that guy/girl. These friends at first act kindly and we develop a special bond with this person without even thinking who this person is or what he is like in real life. Slowly this guy/girl will manipulative us and use us for his/her gain. He might ask us to buy him some crystals, ask our ID's etc. We, considering he/her is our best friend give him everything but little do we realize, IT'S A TRAP!!!. He uses this to make our life miserable and embarrass us in the public. He/she puts out our private stuff which might ruin our lives and bully us by using the very stuff we have given the person. Shattered and broken the person who got cheated might think of ending his/her life. Personally, I have heard news of such occurrences where I live in. Here's the thing, we all make friends without checking who that person is and what the person is like. The person might be an adult who will be looking out to get on the nerves of the people so that he can get money and the things that he wants or the person might be a spoiled kid who just like mentally harass people for his childish gain. It's pretty surprising that the internet crimes done by little kids or teens ( 10-14 ) are rising. It's abundant mostly in social media sites. Moreover there are others who use little kids in the internet to get what they want because they can easily trick them and use them to get their parents information. ( it's true and there are some incidents like this).

It's a twisted world out there folks and that's the thing I want to say. The rising amount of internet crimes really makes me ask the question where in the world we are going ? Hackers, a common threat who collect information and use illegal means to get our money and everything we have and there are games like Tanki Online which are becoming hot spots for like those people.( I do not mean that Tanki is like getting constantly attacked, but if hackers can hack through the top notch barriers of government computers and networks then they can easily hack into any games that they want and use the transaction that we make in the game to get them some money). Our friends might be these people. They might be manipulative, cunning and vicious. Let's face the reality guys, isn't it better to trust people in real life than the random people you meet here, in the internet ? Well for me, I would trust reality than virtual reality. The main reason is that in real life it's easier to decipher whether a person is good or bad but in internet, nope it's tough. I got a lot of random but active friends in Tanki but I do not trust blindly. I always watch my back and always take care of my personal information from ever spilling onto them. Take this as an advice always have an eye on your friends and try to know them better to understand whether they are good or bad. Also get out, make some friends in reality than in this virtual reality ( I do not mean that you should never make friends here, in my opinion the real life is better.). In games too, make friends that you have met in real life ( even real life have frauds but at least we know the person, right? ). And by any chance if you fall into any of such scams or trap please say that to your parents because they know whats best and they can help you out a lot and as everyone say and as I was saying through out this article choose your friends right and it's always good to check what's their reality.

Writers Note:-

Guys, please do not call me the guy who hates internet and everything that is in it. I like all of you use internet. One of my close friends had an incident related to this topic so I was tempted to write a little article about it. I know it's jumbled up but I just wanted to remind you all that this isn't reality and the people we see and talk to, well we do not know much about them and even though we connect them through their social media we might still be tricked. I hope you all take this article as an advice from a guy who has seen this and take care in the internet. And again I DO NOT HATE THE INTERNET  AND THIS ARTICLE IS SOLELY BASED ON MY OPINION. Please understand, talk about this to others and upvote this article. This article is not that really good but I really, really wanted you all to know the dangers, even a bit and understand.

-Grammar and punctuation fixes.

-Changed colour to this.

I would suggest making the paragraphs shorter next time, or splitting the text into more para's, as the long paragraphs impede reading.

It's a good article, but I have to say you appear have a very pessimistic view of anonymity. Personally, every time the thought of absolutely nobody knowing who I am, it without fail inspires me to start another one of my blogs I know I can't keep up the commitment, but it makes me feel so free that I can give my opinions and write articles without real life consequences. I can be anyone I want without old judgement impeding me. Don't you ever get that feeling?
