"It would destroy the whole gameplay and what "Tanki" means for the game itself."

Not that this has already been achieved by the Devs themselves then?

Pomposity combined with pedantry how very efficient of you Mario3108, I commend you <_<

Well, this idea is less about realism and more about what kind of view the player prefers.

Yes maybe you are right, the linked idea might be too ambiguous, as the title states one thing and the text something else.

Although I'm used to it at this point, the game currently uses one, somewhat unique, viewing angle, that is, from the turret's perspective.

I am suggesting a simple alternative viewing angle:

From the tank's perspective!

If you do this you won't be able to see tanks sneaking up from behind unless if you turn your turrent almost constantly. And if you are using a long-range weapon and you see a tank you want to kill, you will have a choice of either killing the tank and leaving your back vulnerable to weapons (especially Freeze). And if you are playing in a small map like island or a map with lots of corners, then tankers could sneak up on you and by the time you realize it you are so frozen that you can't turn your turrent around to shoot the tanker.

Free view would be helpful when you want to check your surroundings without turning your turret, allowing us Railguns and Vulcans to tell when there's a Freeze or Ricochet coming, while staying ready to shoot at our intended target.

Free view already exists if you use mouse controls. Unfortunately, mouse controls are pretty bad and I can't imagine a way it could be implemented with arrow keys.

In close corner battles, it is hard to see what is going on. Another camera problem is aiming up with the magnum. Because it "madness"... or was it "gravity"? Well, the map that is just like a giant pillar made of ramps for tanks to go up and down. It's one of the too. Anyways, Magnum from above can easily see down and shoot down. But magnums from bellow can't look up, so they just have to hope they get a hit.

To fix these problems, I think if you zoom in enough, you would get a barrel mount camera. From this you could see what is going on with a fixed camera view on the upper right side of the barrel. Maybe this could be a variation where players have to play through this camera view. I can be done by just q/e. Please take this into consideration.

Some players do pretty darn good at landing a rocket wherever they want.

Some direct hits I've seen:

>>Behind the building in Brest, taking out a Shaft/Dictator and Isida/Viking

>>Behind a wall in Red Alert just as Overdrive was activated. Rocket landed right in the middle of us.

>>From Blue team on Silence consistently landing either on the bridge or behind the building where Red team flag is. None of the rockets went into the "Dead Zone."

>>From Blue team on Bridges landed on the Red flag area taking out 2 guards and third had virtually no life left. He did this as his teammates approached our flag area.

>>On Cologne. Magnum was on his side of the castle catwalk lobbing rockets on the CP in the middle and on our base.

I can compile a much longer list of direct hits, not "Gosh and be darned" hits or "I'll just lob it over there and see what happens" hits. Some players can land a rocket on any part of the map, there's no escaping them. And you want to do what!?! Give them a zoom camera to boot? I don't think so.

Good point though. A camera pointed on top of Magnum could really help players who struggles on using this turret on different levels of elevation. This camera view can also help Magnum players get a direct hit to enemies which are hiding behind walls or buildings.

nope ... the idea itself is great but thinking about how much it will buff magnum makes the idea extremely terrible .. magnum is already overpowered and it most defenitely does not need a buff .. i mostly play highways with my m2 titan and m1 shaft ... no matter where i go i get hit by magnums , i tried absolutely every place in the map . behind buildings , behind towers , underneath the bridges and if i play against a magnum he always win unless i manage to hit the top of his turret , but if he is good enough not to show it then there is absolutely no way to kill a magnum who is hiding without shooting at him with another magnum ...

i let myself stray from the subject just to give you a small example of how annoying magnums are , so buffing them would be insane and silly .

but for other turrets especially striker that would be a great idea

As we all know tankers view of their tank is only from behind a bit to the top. You can adjust that by using the page up or page down. But even with that I think it needs more work.

The point of view tanki uses is which any online game uses in the gaming industry.

let me get to the point I’m suggesting is that the they should  increase the flexibility to the tankers view in battles.

By click the letter S they can swap from behind to in front or either side. Yeah it might not be always suitable for battle but it’s a good ?? option for players. It’s as simple as keep clicking to change you view, but if you want to move up or down you can simply use the page up and down key.

another view I suggest is a first person view from inside.
It’s a good idea don’t you think?
