Graphics Problem

Hello Guys,

So, I have a laptop which got an integrated graphics card (Intel HD graphics 530) and a discrete graphics card (Nvidia GEFORCEGTX 950m 4GB)

I got 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 1080p resolution running windows 10 x64bit

So when i try to run it in Nvidia processor it gives me 30fps with all graphics off and even with all on gives me 30fps.

The Intel graphics gives me 60fps with all off while all on is 30fps.

So, I need to know why this gives me 30fps (Nvidia graphics) and if there's any solution which it will let me get it to 50-60fps.

Thanks to all ;)

Try doing this.

  1. On your desktop, right click and choose "NVidia Control Panel".
  2. Go to "Manage 3D settings".
  3. Scroll down the list and find "Vertical Sync".
  4. Set it to "off". See if that works.

This is because your version of Flash is not up to date. If you use Google Chrome, your browser will keep the in-browser Flash always up to date. If you wish to continue using the browser you are presently using, please update your version of Flash here: Adobe Flash Player - Debug Downloads.

I play using standalone flash version 22 ;) in my browser is version 18, i hardly use it.

This helped me, but still the fps is not stable. I play using Dynamic shadows,Dynamic lightning, soft particles and Dust. My fps keep dropping suddenly from 60 to 40 and goes to normal which makes it lag . Are there anymore which will give me stable 50-60 fps with these settings ON or this is the maximum I can get?

Somehow switching off 'Vertical Sync" made my fps go to 60 without being stuck at 30. I need to make it stable 50-60fps with the settings i mentioned ;)

Oh if only it was that easy. It would be great if I could tell my computer to play any game in any settings I want and for it to obey, sadly, that's not how it works. It just means your computer, with it's current hardware, isn't capable of delivering such frame rates with such settings. Sorry.

Although, you can try turning off background programs you don't need. If you have a lot of programs running it could negatively affect performance.

Hmm strange, I've got a laptop with an i3 with 6 GB RAM & Intel HD 520, I get 60 FPS with all settings on using Standalone Flash

Is your graphics card driver updated? If you've got NVIDIA GeForce Experience, you can check for an update. There should be a new driver available as seen through here:

Also, did you recently purchase your laptop? (1 week ago or less)

In some cases Windows 10 will tend to update in the background which might give you a slowdown while using the computer.

Also, what programs are you running in the background while playing Tanki?

As LoMo said, they can affect performance.

One more question, what is your processor? I've got another laptop with a 940M and the game runs 60 FPS full settings, sometimes it'll jump from 58-60, but other than that, it's pretty stable.

I know you can get 60 FPS with full settings on, we just have to track down what's causing the FPS to drop.

Best Regards

I got the latest and everything is updated, and yeah my laptop is new ( less than a week)

And i run Nvidia GPU only for Firefox and standalone flash because I only use it to play Tanki.

I think that's the maximum this card can get me, at least it doesn't go down to 10-20 fps with all graphics, it stays around 30-40 with all graphics.

So, thanks to all who have helped. This topic can be closed
