Standalone not opening

The Problem: I open Standalone, click on a server, it loads for a half second, and then the window closes. Occurs when trying to load any server.

 

This just started today. I can still load Tanki just fine via Firefox, but I would rather not have to play via browser.

Clearing SharedObjects.

To clear SharedObjects you need to close your browser(s), go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your PC account>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player#SharedObjects\ and delete all subfolders in this folder (they look like 6V5RURUW)

 

Once you’ve deleted all these temporary folders, launch your browser and enter Tanki Online.

Important! After the cleaning procedure, the game server will forget your password, even if you used "Remember me" checkbox. So make sure you remember your password.

Hazel has said that they've made some changes in the game settings(launcher settings specifically) in preparation for the downloadable client.

 

The above said solutions are definitive fix for the issue.

I can't clear the flash player cache because it does not even load enough for me to do that.

 

I also can't clear SharedObjects because there is no Documents and Settings folder. I looked this part up, and the alternate routs to get to Macromedia do not work as well. My computer runs Windows 7.

 

 

DarkOperative, does this mean the new client is coming within the week? It seems like standalone is not going to work for me, so I guess I will just play via Firefox while waiting for the update.

There's still no date for the release. These are just preparations, but that doesn't mean it's near.

You can play tanki, try opening EN1 server when you load with standalone, currently, loading RU1 with standalone will close it. Just load EN1 and access RU1 in-game by changing servers
