First of all I wish to congratulate all the winners for thr effort. Congrats.

Foremost, i wud like to bring to ur notice tht m too a consolation prize winner so please dnt think of this post made out of grudge or anger as my whole n sole intention is to put up my views in front of u so tht u cud either consider the suggestions or rectify me wherever m wrong.
 

Sorry to say this but as u xpect us to give our views about watever happens n as I personally feel tht u r more interactive n value our views too; so i personally feel tht i shud let u know my views.

Let me start with quoting one of your lines in the mister/miss TO rules-

"The video must feature YOU in person, not your tank." 

 

By this i think u meant tht it shud be self made creative idea. So if anyone just

 edits a movie/sports scene n pastes his/her face over the other then neither is it his/her creative idea as it’s an idea just adopted from a movie; NOR is it "YOU in person” as stated in the event news. Photoshopping a movie isnt a great task to accomplish as there r numerous readily available apps to do the same. There were more well crafted n worth noting videos made up by tankers with utmost dedication which even wen had a quality far better than the once who won, dint make it to the winners.

No doubt some entries did stand a good chance  like The day Samuel TheJuggler uploaded his video I was 100% sure n personally in my mind he stood as one of the winners as the video he made really had some daredevil sports n was made with great morale dedicating himself  for the contest. But on the othr hand many othr entries who won weren’t even close to the effort many others took.

 

 Now the other point of concern is the criteria u mentioned for judging. I will quote it here for convenience of readers-

 

“Criteria for Judging
 Judges will use the following criteria when judging entries:

§ 
How well the video fits with the theme

§ 
Originality

§ 
Humor

§ 
Overall quality”

 

In the selected entries 90% of the entries dint hav humor in any scene watsoever n even then they got selected. If u dint wish to hav humor in the selected entries better way u wud hav avoided it in the criteria so tht even others wud concentrate just on the content instead of adding humor to it. Many games portrayed in the videos even didn’t fit the theme mentioned in the contest.
I wud lyk to give u my example. I m a fairly good boxer n archer as m training for the same from the past 3 years. Yet to add humor to the video I portrayed my skills in a funny way. But as said earlier I personally dnt think tht humor was considered a parameter while judging.
I know it very well tht decisions once taken r final n never change but still THE ONE N ONLY REASON WHY I POSTED MY VIEWS N SUGGESTIONS HERE is bcz, as said earlier i truly feel tht u r a bit more interactive with the tankers than ur predecessors n truly value the suggestions given by them if they r legitimate n valid.
Correct me if  I am wrong n even let us know ur views on the same.

thanks all ... as we all know nothing will change and this is why players are refusing to go into these contest's ..

 

I have decided that I can't change what has happened and the ones who did the judging will  have to live  with how it turned out ..

 

so for the ones who placed in the first- third placements... good job .. for the main two you all ready know how i feel and no i'm not a bad sport , i just don't feel its right for what you did in your video... when others took there time ,planed it out with props and spend lots of time on there's ..

 

so over all this contest has and will leave a bad taste in my mouth .. will I be doing other contests , for now I can't say .. things need to change in this contest / company to win players back to them ...

Ok, so here's my opinion on the winners.

 

First of, congratulations to all of them for making a video. If you are complaining here and thought you could have done better, why didn't you submit a post?

 

Now, there are some that were quite decent. First place Mr Tanki, Samuel TheJuggler, was probably the only winning-worthy skill that looks impressive. 3rd place Mr TO was ok. The grand Mr TO winner was quite good, he needed a lot of skill and time to edit all the devs faces etc. The Ms TO grand winner was a similar version, but was not edited too well.

 

The Miss TO 1st, 2nd 3rd places were not too impressive, I am not so sure how keepy-uppies/kick-ups managed to win. Second place was a "montage" of running, climbing 2m, shooting with a bb gun? And I am probably missing some joke or parody in 3rd place...

 

On the whole the winners were a standard lower than the previous years, maybe that's due to the smaller fan base in the EU or the fact that there is no phone incentive (well its for the grand prize only this time, and its not a well known brand)

Yeah but 3rd place for Miss To wasn't time consuming or tiring at all. If running up a hill and doing an ollie on a skateboard supposedly requires time and effort, then idk why I didn't enter. I could have done an ollie pop shove it and a kick flip while blindfolded. Honestly I expected the winners to have some amazing videos, but they weren't amazing at all (except for the guy juggling torches).
