Decrease self destruct penalty

Why does the self destruct penalty need to be so harsh? It's three faced -

 

1. subtract 1 kill count

2. add 1 death count

3. subtract score

 

To sum up, it's a triple loss? Isn't limiting it to 2 combinations sufficient? Either one of below -

 

#1+ #2 or

#1 + #3 or

#2 + #3

2 makes sense, since we are dying. 1 makes no sense, however, and should be taken away in my opinion. 3 should stay, to stop self destructing from becoming very common.

I think that if you are upside down then it should not subtract anything

The reason they have a penalty when self destructing is because players can, on certain maps, drive off the map when they are low on health just to deny the enemy tank from getting a kill. This is unfair to the other tanker. To prevent such misuse, tanki subtracts score. The kill that  should ideally have been the recorded for the enemy, is subtracted from the violator too.

  1. Click edit.
  2. Click use full editor.
  3. Click Manage Topic Poll.

Maybe it is now only available when creating a topic.

So in Ideas and Suggestions, you can not make polls.

Yeeh. This was done because 99% of polls did not contribute to the idea and had simple "Do you like this idea? -yes -no" type questions, which really don't help.

Should be increased i think. If you ever played as any close combat type weapon u will know how it feels like when a thunder purposelly self destructs himself so you can't get points and a kill. But yeah, if it's basically something you didn't do like a mult pushes you off of Monte Carlo I would go with the first option.

I've been there. To be completely honest, I never cared because my priority in team games has always been to get rid of a threat, and not necessarily score the kill. I can see how this could be a problem in DM though. But surely, it must be happening even now?

 

To be frank, I don't think thunder needs any favors. But IMHO the penalty can still be nerfed within limits and without causing too much damage to individual scores. I say this because I feel the benefits will outweigh such a consequence.

 

P.S. The number of times I've self destructed because of the unintelligent AI that is tanki anti-cheat.

How about 1 self destruct = 100 exp loss from your rank

 

 

And a team sabotage = 200 exp loss for the player who sabotaged one of their team mates

 

I think it would help reduce the chances of being trolled by your own team

I really hate to see players lose kills and crystals due to the self destruct penalty. This self destruct penalty must be removed from turrets that have splash damage associated with them. Turrets such as Striker and Magnum, and also others.

 

The self destruct is a problem because it prevents the growth of battle fund and loss of crystals for each of the players. My suggestion is to completely remove the self destruct from all turrets that have splash damage abilities.

 

The self destruct penalty should only exist when players jump off from the playable areas of maps.

 

There is also a very annoying bug that causes players to self destruct when they jump on top of other tanks or certain ramps. The bug is often triggered when a big tank jumps on top of a small tank. This bug must be removed now.

Your idea should be declined immediately because if you take of the self destruction from turrets such as Striker and Magnum then it will imbalance gameplay. It will also remove the sole purpose of turrets such as striker which should be used at long distance in order to not inflict damage on your tank. Your second idea should also be declined because the devs have more important things to worry about as the current self destruct system works perfectly. Your last paragraph is about a bug which occurs to everyone. You self destruct sometimes when you go on top of another tank because the in game system thinks that you are using a third party software and therefore makes you self destruct which is caused by the anti - cheat system.
