[Declined] Noob Filter

Recommended Posts

My idea is simple, so I will go over a little bit of the backstory first.

Since about a month ago, I have been tying to find a way to filter out those silly tankers that don't turn their turret. They annoy me on both teams, because the ones on my team are wasted space, and the ones on the enemy team make me mad when they destroy me. So I came up with some *bad* ideas:

You get kicked if you don't turn your turret for a minute

You get crystals taken off you if you don't turn your turret

You get less points for kills if your turret is straight

The flag automatically drops off you if you don't turn your turret

You can't pick up drop boxes if you don't turn your turret

You have use Vulcan for 10 minutes if you don't turn your turret

You have to use Shaft if you don't turn your turret

You get premium taken off you if you don't turn your turret

You get worse bonuses if you don't turn your turret

You get banned if you don't turn your turret

You get the ability to turn your tank taken off you if you don't turn your turret

You get the ability to shoot your tank taken off you if you don't turn your turret

You get the ability to use supplies taken off you if you don't turn your turret

You get longer spawn times if you don't turn your turret

You can't choose battles, you just get put in a random one (if you don't turn your turret)

You get IP banned if you don't turn your turret

You get "ddosed" if you don't turn your turret

You get arrested by the police if you don't turn your turret

You get a hitman hired to kill you if you don't turn your turret

Then I had it: an actual idea!

When ever you equip/pickup a supply it does not activate until you turn your turret 30 degrees

Give me your opinion

How someone chooses to play is their own decision, as long as the way they play does not directly impede other players. I agree that players who don't turn their turrets are annoying and can often lead to frustration, but subjecting these players to any kind of sanctions is wrong. Instead, turning turrets and using all controls effectively should be encouraged via tutorials, guides, hints, etc.

Besides, what if someone only has one hand and is physically unable to control the hull and turret at the same time? Implementing penalties like you suggest would literally be discrimination against people with disabilities.

I agree its annoying but come on its not that annyoing. Circle them go behind them after all the can't or won't move their turret so you have the advantage not them.

Of course it's fine when they are your enemy. It's just a blessing when you fight against someone who's determined to never turn their turret. I actually love trolling these people when I come across them - just come around their side and push them against the wall and they will be helplessly shooting ahead of them, desperately trying to turn towards me while I just keep pushing and laugh :D

But what if they're on your team?

if they are enemy, use freeze and laught at them! Even with twins they wont hit u even once.

+ its funy when such noob is using Vulcan :D When their turret is on side, they are +/- dead. They have no idea where they are going.

Or shaft.

I remember many smart players who don't turn their turret.

It's because they are pro, they don't need to turn their turret, they look at you and bam you're dead.

Not everyone turns their turrent for more than one reason, for instance when im shaft I don't go to much left or right because of the speed it moves.

Secondly,

The game ALREADY gets rid of inactive players. after so long they get the boot.

30 degrees to activate a drug? That would be torture to a shaft.

I am glad this was declined, and hope it is never mentioned again.

Sorry, I know we aren't supposed to be rude, but this idea is absolutely useless and stupid. If you cant take it, then quit playing. It's sad such a minor flaw would go as far as to piss you off, you just need to stop playing. To me, you're the noob here. Seriously. I have to keep turning my turret just to keep the flag on me? That is so dumb. It'll mess up your view and other players will  see me as an easy target. I see this "idea" having a 0.000000000000000000001% chance of being used, and if it does, I'll be done with Tanki, seeing how it already has some actually bad flaws.
