There are 15 minute battles. There are 30 minute battles. There are hour long battles. Something is missing, and its a 45 minute game. 

 

Sometimes I have 45 minutes of free time at home. I don't want to do 2 battles, I just want to join a 45-minute battle and not worry about it anymore. In CP mode the battle would end at 300 points. In TDM mode, it would end at 300 kills. In CTF, it would end at 30 captures. Everything else would be the same.

45 minute battles were an option (along with 10 and 5 minute battles) when the battle time limits were being tested, but they proved to be much less popular than the current options. Which is why developers decided to simplify the interface and keep only the three most popular options. You can still create battles which are 45 minutes long (or any duration between 1 and 999 minutes) if you purchase a PRO pass or Premium account, which gives you access to the advanced settings in the battle creation menu.
