New video's up! Today we prepared a Parkour Montage for the map, Barda! Let us know what you think, we hope you enjoy the tricks as the quality and difficulty of them is much better than last time, but we're still open for your feedback! Our goal as an Academy is to teach our students the art of Parkour, so the difficulty will slowly rise as the students in our Discord Server continue to learn. I don't have time to write full feedback now, so I'll only write the most important thing: you say you want to teach players and I see you write some stuff on the video, but with this editing I can't see clearly what's going on in the video. Players who know these tricks already have no problem understanding what happened, but those who don't know these tricks won't be able to learn them if you skip important parts of the trick or speed through them.

Good point, I can't disagree on that at all, but our intention was to introduce that text can be conveniently used in parkour montages to briefly review a few things, the original plan was to use this in guides, with some voice over it to support the brief phrases we provide and to help go over the things all other parkour clubs don't realize or explain.

 

We were definitely aware of the problem of using it montages; the viewer not being able to read the text, look at the trick, understand what's going on, and then realize the text may have not been so helpful. Editing in the style of a montage doesn't make it easier either.

 

We thought we should use it anyway because that way we could get some sort of input to help us prepare for how we will use it in the guides, which again was the main idea. For example a second opinion on the positioning, size, relevance of the text all helps make sure our first guide and future videos with new ideas will be better, but surely that doesn't mean we need to sacrifice the quality of current montages. A misunderstanding between editors is one of the factors that led to the problem of speeding through tricks, and we will surely correct it next time.

 

To put things in short, the text was to give our montage something special and something that can tell our audience that we want to try new methods of teaching parkour. Although it wasn't that successful, we will definitely work on improving this in future montages and you can already expect a major improvement in our guides.

With these types of videos...I doubt it...this most recent video was quite disappointing to be honest...was expecting more from you guys

 

What I mean by this is you only have 5 tricks in the video...3 of which is the same concept of having mag shoot ahead of him self to get him somewhere (which is old trick now), 1 of which is a trick banana came up with 2-3 years ago where jumper uses tank as edge except this time the support uses magnum. and the 5th trick...well its okay but not that fancy...

 

A montage should usually have more content...thats enough tricks for a trailer at best

Montage? Who said we are doing a montage? We are making guides and guides do not matter if the tricks are old or new. People who don't know parkour will enjoy to learn them and use it  :) And as some people say, old is gold.
