Some additional points for Save the Gold events

Hey all,

 

We've recently made some changes to the user-organized event "Save the Gold".

 

First of all, please have a look at point 6.5 of the Game Rules.

 

Also, to make everyone's life easier and avoid Battle Mods from accidentally thinking that the event is being abused, please stick to the following guidelines:

 

1. The contest should be organized for fun and should never be done for profit.
2. The STG organizers must respect a few basic rules:
   1. The goal of the players should be to defend the Gold or try to steal it
   2. If the Gold is bought, it must placed from the beginning of the battle
   3. If you don't have a gold, no one forbids you from organizing wasp+fire till the gold drops. However, Battle Mods will evaluate the battle like a normal one, which means it must respect the map's and mode's requirements
   4. The battle should be set to Auto-finish

What if you dont have a gold, and do wasp fire so a gold can drop? Especially back before this Gold Update that was the only way, and now you are saying we have to buy a gold box just to have some fun?

Servers without surveillance will still have it. Understand the players mentality. Their point is, why to do it the calm way, when I can actually get famous by this?

Most cases, many do not wish to provoke flood in the chat.

Some players don't care whether they will be banned or not. I do, but most of them don't.

I feel that this update is slightly ambiguous... as mentioned, it seems to be saying that doing fire/wasp to get a gold to save can now be punished by a ban.  That's been the time-honored method for doing stgs, and now it's being replaced by what is essentially a pay-to-play mode, unless one of the participants is lucky enough to have gotten a gold mission.  

 

Rule 6.5 is also slightly ambiguous, not defining multing and sabotage clearly enough in my opinion.  However, I do see the rule as a positive thing, as we can finally deal with those annoying players who deliberately mess up the stg.

I don't think that's what he intended to say, I think he means that if your dropping a gold, drop it right away, if your going to fight until one drops, there's nothing wrong with that as far as I can see, it's regular gameplay.
