Some additional points for Save the Gold events

Is it that the players who will be organising a battle for STG will get ban for waiting for the unpaid gold to drop??

What if you dont have a gold, and do wasp fire so a gold can drop? Especially back before this Gold Update that was the only way, and now you are saying we have to buy a gold box just to have some fun? 

Clarified this with @Yele. If you don't have a gold, no one forbids you from organizing wasp+fire till the gold drops. However, Battle Mods will evaluate the battle like a normal one, which means it must respect the map's and mode's requirements

Shouldn't there be a save the gold mode?

We're creating these guidelines to give the mode more structure. It's pointless creating a save the gold mode inside the game as an official mode.

STG is a game mode, unofficial one, but still a game mode, with its own rules and specifics. No one prevents users from organizing Wasp / Fire battles, but such battles will be monitored and moderated as NORMAL BATTLES, not as STGs or any other special mode, so you must respect the chosen game mode's rules and specifics.

Nope, because according to them it will be dealt as a normal battle which the normal game rules apply, where as if you dropped the gold it would be a different circumstance due to this. So now we have to wasp fire in a TDM, and TDMs are kind of dead for save the golds if you ask me.

We punish users for violations of the game rules. For example: doing an STG event in a CTF battle is not forbidden, we will not give importance to the fact that users are not capturing or protecting flags since they are doing something different — an STG event.
Meanwhile, if users do not capture / protect flags in a NORMAL CTF battle, they will be monitored and, if found guilty, taken care of as "saboteurs" or "mults", depending on the situation

Making a STG in CTF or in TDM has no actual difference in STG gameplay. So make a TDM STG, fight until a gold drops, invite tons of friends and you're good. I trust that there will in fact be killing throughout the entire battle, whether it's before the gold drops or while you're protecting it.

Battle moderators will evaluate CTF STGs as normal battles and if there is no capturing any flags, players will be punished. But in TDM battles, killing...

And why should STGs in TDM be dead? Of course they're created more in CTF, but I guess CTF is just "the default team battle" in a way. A STG in TDM is no different from STG in CTF, like I said before.

I didn't actually read this, except the first 2 sentences. It has been stated officially now, that the only way to avoid violating the rules is to drop the gold, if otherwise it will be counting as sabotage. Also TDM save the gold is a worse situation as you can not end the game, you either have to reach a certain amount of kills or put a certain timezone, therefore making things rather difficult to collect the fund. That is only if you wish to collect the fund, otherwise there is no difference. Also I did not mean dead as in rubbish ;)

It isn't like you aren't killing, you are (and that's the purpose of the battle mode). The main post ever clearly says that you can make a Fire+Wasp until a gokd box drops on its own, as long as everyone follows the game mode's requirements. Note that this is only possible in TDM battles.

As for the ending the battle, why can't you simply use auto-finish, in fact you ha e to use it. After taking the gold, most, or if not all the players on the attacking team will leave, leaving the defending team to take the fund.

 

I don't see the basis of your argument, the main post even says so...

If you go to RU1, they post "do not let him/them get fund" or "gold box there" and battle fills, and then sometimes players do not leave. lol, the orignal argument was due to the op being unclear as it was implying that you would get banned if you did wasp fire, and it turns out you do if its in CTF. I don't see why there must be difficulties within mode, the battle moderator can clearly see if is Save the Gold, a mini games, especially if it a private battle. Private battles are private for a reason, they do not wish for moderators to come and ruin the privacy, especially ban them.

Believe me, I know the feeling, it happened to me about a week back (major STG incident). I don't really like it either, but I think we can survive with only making TDM STGs, and there's always the option to risk making a CTF one, but I don't recommend it obviously. I was only involved in MAKING a STG once, and that time everyone left after someone took the gold. Of course I can't base everything off of one case, but it made me think everyone left, so o apologize for that...

However, I still stand by what I said, we can survive with only having TDM STGs, it isn't the end of the world. I really don't know what else to say to you.

Guess you will now have to actually trust the people you STG with  :wacko: . Just tell the attackers to sit in a corner and behave like good kids while defenders plant mines

Brilliant point, I was thinking the exact same thing myself.

 

So why does auto finish need to be ON?

 

Doesn't make sense imo.
