Super Flooders

Recommended Posts

I wake up in the morning. I have breakfast. Brush my teeth. Like a normal morning. After sometime i go on the computer. What lovely day to play Tanki Online right? Wrong. This is all you see in EN3 as soon as you log in.

Welcome to the new Tanki where Spam is the only thing running the chat. All mods offline. And all players tired of this spam. Not trying to discriminate but it is usually the lower ranks that start spamming all the time. This had to happen cause of Super Flooders/Spammers. Something obviously needs to be done about this.

Just use ignore option in the chat for those hardcore spammers.

That wouldn't help. It would still take forever to type anything in the chat because of the flood metre, this sentence I am typing now would take up to a minute or more to post.

It is possible for mods to be offline since they're human and need a real life too. You can use the ignore option like suggested above and report these violations in Chat Violations section.

You can't. Read the chat violation section. It says not to report flood, if you do they just ignore the report. If the solution were that simple I wouldn't be making a topic about it. And as I said before the ignore option doesn't do anything. It stops me from seeing their chat but still takes 5 minutes to post a single sentence because of the flood metre.

Hi there,

I understand you completely. And I'm sure that most of us wants clean, polite and safe chat. As much as possible. But unfortunately that is not always possible.

As you can see, the reports for flood in the chat are not accepted:

Because Forum section Chat Violations is only for major offenses. Please don't report the flood. All you can do is that you use the ignore option. Or turn off the chat in the Settings if flood really bothers you so much.

And one more thing. Our chat administrators are well aware with the situation in the chat, as you can see:

So don't worry, enjoy the game :)

You say they are aware, but they can't do anything even if they are aware if they are offline. Not enough mods too many violators. There is a built in system that bans you by default for flood, but these people found a hack. Even I know what the hack is to flood in caps without getting banned. However, I choose not to because its boring, annoying and just super silly is the nicest and best way to describe it. Being aware of the situation isn't enough, something needs to be done about it.

Sorry about before. It slipped my mind that Chat Violations section doesn't consider flood reports. In any case, as Ostrica said, the devs are working on a better anti flood system and it will be implemented when it's ready. Have some patience and use the ignore button till then.

"Mind sees what it chooses to see". It seems that you didn't take a good look at the screenshot under the spoiler.

You don't need to write anything in such case; just click on the nickname of the flooder/spammer>Ignore

We can't control spammers sadly. Mainly because if we manage to stop one many more pop up spamming even more. It's something to be fixed by the anti-flood system. Developers are already aware of such.. best we can do is wait for them to come up with something to stop the spamming.
