Self-destruction causes damage

That would just be stupid because someone could just go for example in a polygon CP match and self destruct damaging all tankers in that area.

Self destruction is a penalty, so I suggest for this idea to be declined because players would actually abuse on using self-destruct on purpose to damage other tanks. That would result in battles where players won't have their score or battle fund growing. This would be similar to parkour or private battles. Please decline this suggestion because it is a bad idea.

I searched a bit and didn't see this, sorry if it already exists.

 

I was contemplating life while upside-down on a highways map recently, when a group of the enemy passed me with our flag. I had the idle thought that it would be interesting if the self-destruct explosion caused a small amount of area damage- not enough to destroy anyone at full health, but  a way to inconvenience someone driving around your rotationally-challenged tank.

 

Probably won't go anywhere, but hey

If an upturned tank is destroyed by fire power, will it still explode? Could be useful in CTF. Plus get some bonus points for a kill while holding the flag.

Stop writing like that, as other mods said your idea isn't more valuable than other's opinions.

I don't think it would be an immediate explosion. Your self-destruct would have to be timed just right, especially since there won't be a whole lot of damage. Splash damage, I assume, would be negligible, so it would have to be right on.
