Better roof hitboxes

I don't know what he did or did not read, but that's the lead developer's opinion on this matter.

but maybe he havent thought about things posted in here?

Ideally, the house roofs would have an accurate hitbox, with an angle corresponding to the roof slope. But as a stopgap measure, maybe the house hitboxes should be shortened so that tanks could "sink" in them (like they do on the metal sheds in Industrial Zone). That way shots aren't blocked.

This would be very simple: you could simply adjust the Y axis parameters for these props.

The height of the hitbox would be equal to the height of the base of the roof. It is annoying to have a tank scoped in (by your Shaft), but the laser is going through the house hitbox. You fire, and even though the tank was in your sight, visually unobstructed, it receives no damage because it was blocked by an invisible part of a house. This could be remedied by shortening the house hitbox. Does anyone else agree?

 

Mods, please don't put this idea under someone else's idea to have actually sloped hitboxes; this is different.

Sorry, but your idea is too similar to the idea for sloped hitboxes. It does make sense though, so I will forward both of them to developers and get their opinion on the matter.

It matters! When i try to shoot through the Gaps between stairs in many maps....Puff! It eats my shot.... it will make xp/bp more challenging! ++!! Nice idea Dage!
