You've probably noticed already that the new Tanki Online Downloadable Client is available on the homepage. All you need to do is click download to try it out.

 

We'd love to hear your feedback about the client. Tell us:

• what you liked
• what you disliked
• what's missing
• what you'd love to see in the future
• whether you noticed any difference in performans
• anything else of relevance that may come to your mind

So, I've just downloaded it and my first impressions are really positive. It all loads smoothly and fast, way faster than browsers and Standalone Flash. A downside for me is that it's rather hard to get the window to its biggest form.

 

I need to make the window bigger via the corners of the window, manually.

 

 

 

I don't like the automatic full mode as I'm not able to use Skype, the forum,... then. 

 

So far, I'm not experiencing any lags. 

 

Edit 1: I have faced lags by now, but not too often. I've also had quite some errors with the screen turning black.

 

 

 

Edit 2: Sometimes the screen freezes. I've had it a few times and as for what I've experienced, it happens when I'm pressing on quite some buttons on my keyboard at the same time. I don't know if it has anything to do with it though. It might be just a coincidence too as it hasn't happened that often.

 

Edit 3: When you click on 'Re-enter the game', the client closes.

 

Edit 4: The lags seem to have increased.

Disliked:

• No option to refresh and get back on same server. aka have to go through 'lucky' page.

No option to refresh and get in game once a player starts lagging.

No Connection Feathering - Always gets stuck at http://prntscr.com/cg1cnp - I'm back to Microsoft Edge for now.

Missing and love to see in future:

• Inbuilt screenshot and screen record feature.

[EDIT] :: Windowed Fullscreen mode -  - Temporary Solution here.

Performance:

• FPS improvement, I'm sure.

Cool. Do me a favor. Close the client and re-open it and tell me whether you noticed a significant improvement in loading the second time round.

Takes a while the first time, but shouldn't be more than 1-2mins. Then again, it also depends on your internet connection.

Well downloaded the client and into a battle in under 50seconds not bad going, next time i will not need to download so should be faster still.

 

Down sides I will let you know as I play and find some.

 

Update.

 

Ok after login out then back in a few times i notice its set to russian by default so i have to change to english. would be good if it could remember what you picked.

I didn't notice a significant improvement in loading the second time as it only took 2-5 seconds the first time. The second time, it was not more than 2 seconds, literally. It's incredible.

For me the Client is not loading tanki :/ :(

What If I got kicked from the client due to internet problems, how would I rejoin If I couldn't choose specific server?

It took a long time to load at the first then sudden came the black screen . When I again try to start it then there came some error and then re-enter the game . 

Hope that it will be working well soon . :)

Edit : It always open Russian Homepage . Always need to change it to EN .As well as the Maximize button is disabled .

Whole folder (mine) has 26.7MB. That's nothing :)
