There is not really one button to improve your FPS, but there are a few tweaks you can make to improve it.

On the Help site is an article with some tips on how to raise your FPS.

I think because no one knows how to help yet. This client has only just been released, so everyone is still figuring things out. You could try re-installing the client, but other than that I can't help you either. I've heard things like clearing your Internet Explorer cache helped for some. Another player left this possible solution:

When tanki client crashes and the re-enter the game window appears, i click it but app closes so i lose my points and i can t join the same battle cause my place is taken.

also when i can t respawn i can t refresh so i need to leave battle myself or wait 30 minutes for the battle to end -_-

fps has improved but if those things aren t fixed it doesn t worth downloading the app

So far Ive had no issues with the browser..I am very surprised with how many people are saying they are having issues and nothing has happened to me yet lol...Im curious but maybe people had other applications running when installing the TankiOnline wizard<--very surprised with the naming lol..I for one actually turned off all other applications including my e-mail, installed the client held my breath as I tried it out and so far no issues.Maybe people running applications while installing has an actual effect on the client working for them Im no expert but its just a thought.Also might I say that the full screen appearing outta no where is easy to get out of without closing your game just hit the esc key (above the ~ key for those who dont know) then you can just re adjust the screen with the double headed arrows that your mouse pointer turns into when going across the edge of the client screen

The only thing I hate about the Downloadable client, is that every time I open the game I have to switch languge to english.
Please do that so I will only have to change it once.
The loading speed is fast, less lag, in short: great!

I agree with many of the above posts. A Linux version of the client would be nice as neither wine nor my virtual machine are ideal options.

Are there any differences between using the client and using the web browser to access TO? (Besides lag and FPS, stuff like that)

^ well, there is not much difference in playing TO via a browser or the client - however, some browsers do not support mouse controls or cannot support mouse controls, which on the contrary the client fully supports and the client optimizes the battle performance; means you can play with better performance. 

 

Also some browser updates drastically impact the game performance, the client doesn't face such issues that can reduce your overall performance with unexpected/unpredictable updates.

Have you tried running the client as administrator? It helps

(Both times with the same settings)

MY OPINION ABOUT CLIENT

 

So far, I have noticed some few problems with the client, however, there were some improvements too. Starting with the positive opinions, most of them were slight changes in the game play such as:

• Improved ping
• Improved FPS
• Mouse Controls

On the contrary, there are more problems in the client than the positive benefits such as:

• Problem while loading the client. Solution can be found here
• Disability of using 'copy paste' in the code mode (ctrl+shift+k)
• Sudden increase in ping
• "Remember" function does not work
• Sometimes the client does not respond and closes in the blink of the eye for no reason

As you can clearly see in the above, most of the problems are with the client, and not the game play. Therefore I suggest that the client should remove the problems listed above. In my opinion, the client should:

• Allow copy paste in code mode (ctrl+shift+k)
• Allow the use of multiple accounts using 'remember me'
• Make a guide on how to install the client without problems, or how to fix the problems such as the loading time
• Allow customizing controls
• Allow toggle mode for the R key
• Allow customizing mouse
• Create a report function in game where, if a player abuses or breaks game rule such as sharing accounts or hacking, then his name can be clicked, and an option will appear saying, "REPORT"

This is all, but I may have more opinions about the Tanki Online Downloadable Game Client in the future.

In client tank is going out of control. I can't control my tank. For example, my turret is straight i rotate it 90 degree to left but it won't stop on 90 degree it will rotate like 150-160 degree. Mean it rotate 60-70 degree itself. Same with hull I am not pressing up arrow but tank going onward itself and then stop itself.

I just wanna remind you that this is only the first public version of the client, so our devs are taking your feedback and working on a better version that will fix the problems you mentioned (at least the urgent ones first) and implement more features to make it more convenient to use.

 

This first issue is a bare bones one, to see initial feedback and dig out potential bugs that would only be discovered with mass testing. All in all, considering the ups and downs, I think this first version of the client is a step in the right direction. Agreed?
