Is Tanki a secure website? What about the client? Is there even the slightest possibility someone could implement a virus into the official client/forum and gain access to our computers? My parents are really worried cause they think that TO has loads of viruses and malware...

^ as long as you download the client from the official sources you will be safe.  Just make sure the link is properly spelled out since you can never know if you landed on a scam/phishing site which usually will have the http address mimicking that of TO

If the game crashes, i lose all my score and crystals, because I play on the downloadable client, where you can't just 'refres the page'. Also, do not recommend me a browser, because tanki for some reason doesn't work in them.

Hey all, keep the feedback coming. We're rolling out fixes regularly.

It would be nice to have a help/check for update button on the client, showing client version and easy update interface to get latest build of client, or if it does that automatically, a notification that it has recently been updated.

 

Active window changes size and doesn't fit active window, I always have to resize.

 

Once game is launched, when entering a battle, I cannot pick up drops or do damage, though I can take damage, I must either leave and return the battle, be killed, or self destruct,. at which point everything works fine, the steps must be repeated with every new battle entered into.

 

The refresh issue is very annoying in the case that you get a network error causing re-entry into game, which kicks you from current battle.

 

Memory use ranges from 500 to over 1700+/- Mb.

Communication ranges from 8 to 32 kbps fluctuation in sending and receiving from 24 to 72 kbps.

Ping is not that stable but that is happening in route according to traceroute and is out of both of our control.

 

Overall client works much better than browser.

Since I am not able to reconnect to my old battle (I can neither chose the server I'd like to connect to, nor is the client yet able to reconnect me automatically) I simply do not use it for the while beeing.

 

So for Gismos it is "just crystals" that they loose.

But for non-gismos each battle we get kicked from:

 > pushes us closer to the big ranks in tems of XP & rankup

 > while it withholds the crystals we need to sustain there

 

Thats the worst deal you can make in this game.

I am sure it will be a neat tool once they coded the reconnect/refresh functionality

Problems with client

Every time I enter a new battle, I can do no damage, I have to press DEL and self destruct every time to fix it.

Whenever drops start falling or get close to enemy with our flag I start lagging and tank is almost uncontrollable and over reacts to any key stroke.

On several areas of different maps my tank speeds up as if I was using nitro.

Sometimes when entering new map, I spawn upside down.

 

And lastly, randomly my FPS and Ping go crazy, and when it does, I check Task Manager and see 2 instances of "Tanki Online (32 bit)" the first is listed as "APP" and this second one that is listed as "BACKGROUND PROCESS"

 

I click end process and my gameplay goes back to normal.

 

WHAT is this background process that runs and wreaks havoc on my gameplay????

 

From discussions with colleagues, they hypothesis that this is caused by a memory leak (bug in code), and this might be an issue related to not explicitly calling the Dispose method when finished.

 

Is this related to the after burn and freeze effect reduction time causing the application holds references longer than necessary as well as handling drops supplies/gold etc?

A goldbox dropped earlier in my battle and I touched that ****** goldbox in the air and I didn't get **** you guys need to fix that ***** problem

Have you tried clearing the cache for Internet Explorer? Have you tried re-downloading the client?

I am not sure. I thought it worked before, but I am not sure. Honestly, if it does not work all the time, I am reluctant to use the client although it is much faster.

Once u join the client, turn off all graphics and unused things. It happened to me and then worked. Enjoy :)

If he doesn't loading to the lobby or battle, Follow the procedure below:

 

1. Uninstall the game client.
2. Go to: %APPDATA%/../Roaming/TankiOnline
3. Delete "Local Store" folder.
4. Re-install the game client.

Please add a function of going to any private battle using invite codes. i think it isnt avialable. is it? the reason why m saying tis is bcz to join any fb battle we need to swtich back to browser to go to the links wich is tedious,

or we have to copy the link into the chat (private message to our selfes) and then click on it.

It works just perfectly, it is litteraly a much quicker way to get to game! 100% no flaws, has normal screen, no new controls, and easy to find and download ( easier than any song I've downloaded. ) Thanks Tanki :lol:

Just a thought, is there any likelihood of the client being able to clear its own cache?  You could hide it under options somewhere.
