Can you connect to Tanki using a browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Edge)?

as you could play by other means you might have a firewall set up, that prohibits the client application to establish those connections.

Can it be that there is a certain someone, who set up the computer for you, in a way to be secure?

What about downloading on a Mac? It says it cannot open exe because it is not supported. Thanks.

Marto, I can connect via firefox just fine. I set up my own computer so I don't think my firewall should be an issue, but I will explore this and post back.

Checked it out and don't see any issues. Also have my firewall set up so if it blocks an app from communicating, it is supposed to notify me.

I've been using it since the day it debuted, and Lag Is History!

 

Before the DC, I had terrible Lag, very bad, almost all the time.

 

Now, with DC, even on Laggy Maps like Rio or Kungar (love both) with a loaded Server, Lag is fleeting, and almost unnoticeable.

 

What's puzzling to me, I meet players all the time who've never heard of the DC.

 

Hats off to the team responsible for this great innovation.

Don't know if this will help anyone, but I'm running Win 7 Pro on a 3 year old AMD A6 with 8 gigs  and have had ZERO issues with the DC. For reasons I won't get into, we've removed all Win 8 and 10 OS from our network, and rolled all machines back to 7.

before you do that, note down the host adress (37. ...) and the ports and give the tech support of your internet provder a call. Ask if your internet provider blocks these ports - if not then it is _not_ the provides fault.

Most likely you rund a firewall that allows that ports only for the browser and not for some other application (like the tanki client).

I recently downloaded tanki online in my computer Windows 10 Pro...you see that i had already posted something about the language changing and it became nice in the new update.....but I have a problem now,..When I go into a battle, I play for a few seconds and then the screen get strucked but the sound will be running. I hope this a graphic problem. This happens especcially to me in tribute map because today's last daily mission was to earn exp in tribute map and the reward was premium account for 3 hrs....plz help me!!!!! I have not completed this mission yet....plz help me!!!!!!!

You should make Tanki X a browser based game as well for people who can't download it so everyone can enjoy it

The client still glitches. It errors in old ways and new ways, and there is nothing can be done to stay in battle. 9 out of 10 times, even if the "reenter battle" appears, the only way to keep playing is to close and restart, and usually that doesn't keep in battle, even with check-box checked.

 

The client needs a manual refresh mechanism. Something that clears the errant state and restarts within the same battle, preserving score.

I downloaded said client today, froze twice.

 

Edit: It's worse than the flash version, it keeps freezing, and no way back in, even when, by miracle, the 'Return to match' button appears.

 

Back to playing the Flash version.

no lag anymore :) but if the game crashes and I re enter the game closes the program. if I am restarting the game im out the battle. and crystals are not for me. I had already two times he crashed 2-3 minutes before the game ended.thats gone..

 

could you do something about that error?

the rest of the downloadable game is a big improvement!!

The cache is said to be placed in the internet explorer (yes, internet explorer)

I have experienced sudden drops of fps. It drops from the usual 45-60 fps to 5 immediately and causes severe lag. please fix this

The reason Tanki X is using a downloadable client is because we wanted to avoid all the hassles and inconveniences that came with using a browser. That's also the reason Tanki Online now has a downloadable client.

It's the only thing I can tell you. They have already made a number of improvements to the client. They'll soon get to the refresh feature.
