Capturing a point faster if you are closer to it

What this basically means is: If you are attacking point... C, and you begin to capture it, the process will go faster if you are closer to the centre of the point. This way, you get rewarded for sticking it out in the open to make it go faster than hiding and therefore it goes slower.

 

IMPORTANT: The rule of the number of players will not change. If one tank is on the outside and another tank from the other team is on the inside, still nothing happens. This is the same with 2v2, 3v3, and so on.

The distance in which you need to capture the point is really low and the distance between the center of the point and the furthermost distance from it (while still capturing it) is really low, as low as 1 tank. Moreover, most points in most maps are already in the open and you can't hide while capturing them.

I think the idea is actually quite interesting. Sure, it doesn't make sense with the way Control Points function now, but what if they were changed to suit this feature? The range of a tank's effect on the point would be increased (2x or 3x of the current range)  and that way it would really make a difference if you push enemy tanks away from it while battling for the point. This would also add new strategies such as using Wasp to parkour on top of other tanks to get closer to the point or arranging the team in a particular order to capture points in the most efficient way possible. I would love to try it out.

Or teammates would push each other to get a little more point and that causes real tension among teammates..

That's also true. But you can do the same with the current system by pushing teammates off the point completely and I never really saw anyone do it. Even if people do it, I doubt this will make the existing issue worse.

I agree with @kayitsiz , people with titan would push other tanks to get more points, and it will be very hard for light tanks to capture, and also, you won't fight only against enemy team, but also against your team mates, to capture more points than others.

Even thought it's a great idea, that's the only problem..

Anyways, nice idea! This could possibly increase strategy in CP too haha

 

Tho pushing's quite a problem particularly in teammates, well...

It would make sense if the tank has to move around the point (while still connected) to capture it quicker. To me, it feels like you are turning a wheel or something to capture the point
