[Declined] Territory Control Mode

I have in mind a new and more dynamic type of battle mode called Territory Control Mode.

 

In Territory Control Mode players capture and control a territory just like in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. But here in Tanki Online it will work in a different way. In Tanki Online, a Territory Control Mode will only work with tanks, not people.

 

There are two battle teams. The red and the blue team sides. To take a Territory and control its area, players will have to kill the enemy and gain control over the territory.

 

The way that works is as follows:

 

If you are playing on the blue team, when you kill an enemy on the red team, the territory that was belonging to the enemy was red, then when you manage to kill the enemy, the territory turns blue.

 

The same thing will happen when playing on the red team versus the blue team.

 

A radar mode must be included in Tanki Online with a red and blue colour glow on the maps floors. Tiles must be like switches that are versatile and switch colour like in Control Point Mode.

 

A Territory Control Mode would bring a lots of more dynamic and fun ability to control territories just like in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Tanks can do the same thing that people would do in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

 

A new map would need to be huge in size and capable of interpreting only the Territory Control Mode in Tanki Online.

 

I believe that it would be possible for the developers to create and add such a huge update. The developers must see this idea of mine and put it to the test and start creating it for a better gaming experience in Tanki Online.

As you can see from the image above, the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas territories are marked by different colours.

Sorry, but this feature from GTA SA is impossible to encorporate into Tanki due to the fact that maps work completely differently here. In GTA the game only loads a certain area around you and to conserve processing power as you move around, it gradually loads the new areas you go to and unloads the areas you leave behind. On the other hand Tanki Online maps load fully as soon as you enter the battle and stay loaded, so a map this size won't work properly on any server.

 

This idea isn't a new "game mode" - it's a whole new remake of Tanki Online, changing it into an open-world RPG such as GTA. Besides, we already have CP mode, which is basically the same thing - kill enemies, control territory.

I am still hoping that the Assault Mode be back in Tanki Online forever.

 

I few times ago, I have spoken about the Assault Mode of Tanki Online which I played on during the Happy New Year 2015 for the first time and I really loved this game mode since.

 

The developers of Tanki Online have said in several V-Logs ago that they were planning to create some maps for Assault Mode and or integrate Assault Mode in existing maps.

 

This game mode is amazing because it is like two modes in one - Control Point (CP) and Capture The Flag (CTF). The Assault Mode is a game mode in Tanki Online that I miss every day that I play Tanki Online, so I would like to have it back once it for all in the game.

 

Tanki Online needs to grow in the number of battle modes it offers. The four current types of modes are pretty similar to each other, so I suggest Tanki Online to have mode battle modes that differs from the ones currently exist.

Players would need to watch their step and drive very carefully to avoid getting destroyed. The gold box in this mode would be worth 10,000 crystals because this game mode would be very hard to grab the gold box because the map would be flooded with mines.

 

Players would have a 1% chance of catching this precious gold box. When the players get destroyed by a mine only once, they are eliminated from the battle.

 

This game mode goes by a process of elimination.

So a map riddled with thousands and thousands of mines can be a huge obstacle for a creeping M4 Mammoth using double armor. The player that manages to drive on a terrain riddled with mines who does not step over them will have the luck on grabbing his 10,000 crystals gold box.

 

Players can wear and use any turret and hull combination they want.

Like it has been said before, gold box is supposed to be a bonus in a battle, not something people join a battle for. Devs don't want this, so why would they want an entire game mode, designed only for getting a gold box?

OK. If this game mode does not work, then try to think of another clever mode that will work in Tanki Online. What do you think?

Well I have an idea. And it only took me 30 seconds to come up with the idea :)

My idea is to make a formation like in chess. Except the only chess pieces used in the battle will be kings. 1 King in each side of the field. The object of the game is to kill the king. As soon as the king has died the team loses. It doesn't matter how the king dies as long as he is dead. If he self destructs his team will lose. And yeah what about trollers and mults. Don't worry I've already figured that bit out. To be king you will have to pay a small fee of 200 crystals. If you lose than your money is gone so your only trolling yourself. However, if your team wins the king will get 2k crys as a prize each time. And it should be only available in PRO battle with PRO pass. That way the 2k won't be available that easily and you have to pay 5k for 2k. But its not fair that only PRO pass users get it so Tanki should add this mode in normal battles too under CTF/TDM/DM/CP/ etc. Except in normal battles you just get double crystals like you would with premium. The fee balances that part out. So you asked for our ideas that's mine. So do you like it?

Your idea of a king in the battle is good, but I do not like the fact that you have to pay a fee of 200 crystals. No fees please. Just a free battle like the current ones.

It would be an amazing thing to have another type of currency in Tanki Online just like in Tanki X.

 

In additional to the normal crystals that are available in Tanki Online I would suggest to have red gems.

 

Red gems:

 

1 Red gem = 100 crystals

 

Red gems would be a special type of gem that would occasionally drop on maps. Players would drive into them to catch them. Red gems are to be more common than gold boxes, but rarer than regular supply boxes.

Have you ever played a PlayStation 1 game called Spyro 2? Well. I have.

 

It would be a much better gaming experience if Tanki Online would have gems dropped on maps for players to collect. Each gems would reward players with a different amount of crystals.

As you can see from the screenshot above, Spyro the dragon is collecting gems to buy features and abilities in the game.

 

So Tanki Online needs to have a feature similar to this to bring more dynamic fun to Tanki Online and to re-balance the crystal rewards that players earn in battles against the game's economy.

 

Since the paint separation update everything has become ridiculously expensive. That is why Tanki Online needs to re-balance its economy and the crystals that players earn in battles to spend on turrets, hulls, modules and paints.

 

At the moment shop items such as turrets and hulls are too expensive to buy, including micro upgrades.

OK, so in that case what stops players from creating this game and then using parkour with the help of their friends to get to the gold box in a matter of minutes? They can create battles with this game mode over and over and keep taking turns to take the 10k golds. And the game mode will turn into a crystal generator.

 

Besides, it doesn't even seem like much of a game mode. Not much actual battle between tanks - just keep blowing up on mines over and over and eventually get 10k for nothing.

 


Anyway, please don't go on a tangent to discuss a whole bunch of unrelated ideas. This topic is about the Territory Control Mode you suggested.

This type of battle mode of the 10,000 crystals gold box would have to be properly established so that players get a chance to both kill each other and collect the gold box. Players will of course step on mines and explode.

your missing the point. there is an option in Pro battle settings where you can turn. smart supplys off and if you have enough repair kits you can basically be Godmode_ON2.0 by holding down the 1 key
