Overall, I think this first round of alterations have been very well thought out in terms of balance.  I was worried that there would be trade-offs on insignificant attributes in favor of better damage and that as a result, all players would just amp up damage.  I don't see that with this batch (well, maybe Firebird).  Most of these have me thinking deep thoughts on whether the trade off are worth it.  The pricing seems ok, but I really hope it scales back by modification level as a M0 player could never afford what I'm being shown - but I don't really care since I will never play M0 again.  Bottom line - well done.

 

I'm looking forward to the remaining three alterations before deciding on which to buy.  Recommend others wait and see too.

 

I also don't care about the supply kit change.  I bought when I saw the timer, so now I have plenty.  The 100 kit at 50% off is fine for those who missed out.  'nuff said.

I don't think these have been balanced at all.

 

Thunder gets a 6.25% damage increase.

 

Rail gets a 4% damage increase

 

Smokey gets a 16% and up damage DEcrease.

 

The impact on the exixting game balance is completely unpredictable. But the future does not look good for smokey players.

 

And that trio of protections you used to need? Get readt to need a new trio due to these alterations.

 

Massive changes to follow.

Perhaps the developers should adjust the game valence before adding another new and earth-shattering update. And yes, I am still whining that "thunder is UP, smoky is OP." And yes, I still believe this.

 

Well, I have not used an alteration yet, but from what I have seen and heard, this is what I think needs to be adjusted:

Article 1. Alterations for low ranks are expensive. What, 50,000 cry for an aesthetics change?

Article 2. There seem to be no alterations for hulls. Plis I need more armour for my vik plis plis nob

Article 3. The update of having all supply kits and useful drug kits added to the Shop can be taken in 2 ways: either they are reducing supply use, or an advantage for buyers. drugger mult noob hy6 camper skrubs.

 

Also, there is only 1 mine module, while you promised several. >:[

I didn't complain when gold box supply was added, or when crystal boxes were removed, or when the flag limit was added which damaged island CTF battles...

...but really? 100k crystals for something that doesn't even improve your turret, only changes it? I don't get this.

 

I feel like tanki is becoming far more buyer-orientated. It's sad, but I guess they do need to make money.

Its from the DM Tournament crap they introduced. These drugs will last forever i hardly play anymore

You must be new here :D

See, here it works like this: First something cool new is introduced that looks overpowered or awesome or stylish or whatever.. so that everyone wanne have it.

THEN (once enveryone has it) they rebalance the stuff.

 

It would be more usefull if new equipment or such things can be rented foa months period, in which the devs can change it however they like.

After this monththey settle the parameters a little more.. and from then on it is open for purchase (if you rented it, your rental fee will be substracted from the price of the equipment)

But.. it is not this way. live with it..

Alternations and Microupgrades aim on buyers mainly. Free players can have them too... but if a normal tanker spends crystals on it before he reaches at least (!) M2, it is hardly doubted that this is a good investment.

Once you have your garage settled, things change.

And that trio of protections you used to need? Get readt to need a new trio due to these alterations.

 

Massive changes to follow. - Don't forget that those alterations are optional.

Tanki Online Think about the money only ,, soon the game will lose a big loss ( no Players ) ( no Money )  :) 

yeeeeah :)

Earlier they had 120000 players online sometimes now i never see more than 55000 tanki is going to die from this lag and updates :)

Wow it seems like everytime i am really excited for buying something in tanki, you guys always change it.

I don't know.

The alterations and the kits are ok, but i was saving for the 800 drug kit, and you guys remove it and replace it with 20 bucks for 1500 kit -_-.

If u wanna do that, it would be at least better if you could buy them for real money, but also buy them with crystals, either way, you still get money.

Couple of months ago, i was going to get the simoom kit. Days later, you guys added the protection modules, and made it back to regular price. That really disappointed me. I didn't even want the protection.

Anyways, i really hope u guys put the drug kits back 100 is not enough...

(probably wont they probably wont even look at the forum)

If IYO damage output means nothing, then I don't think we can agree on anything.

 

Any "alteration" that is deemed to be more useful than the original version will become the version the vast majority of players use. That is how gamers operate, backed by decades of observation. So saying a variation is "optional is really misleading. The more powerful option becomes the version you will see in actual combat.

This is based of a screenshot someone posted here. That info said max damage was -15%, min dam was+23%. The average of this is +4%. If the screenshot was wrong then my calculation is wrong.

the percentages are applied to different base values..

see here:

 

 

Caution!! This RAILGUN Alternation does NOT increase your average damage.

There is no change to the average damage, although the different % for min and max might make you think that.

Take my Rail M2 for an example:

 

Currently:

min 88.8 / max 136.3

current average = 112,550

 

now lets modify the parameters:

min 88.8 +23% = 109.224  / max 136.3 -15% = 115,885

New Average = 112,539 (Same!!!)

There are always players who would use tons of drugs during play. Good skills along with sound strategy and effective tactics, drugs are only necessary in critical situation.

 

Each player needs to evaluate and decide how much drugs should be spent. Does it make sense to spend 1000 crystals worth of drugs to earn 300 crystals? From my experience, the best players make about 1000 +/- crystals, at best.  In most cases, it is just in the hundreds or less.  The only time a player could make a lot of crystals was back in the days when there was no time limit.  There were battles that lasted 2 - 3 hours, top players were able to earn significant crystals.  But those days are long gone. : (

 

Tanki is in business to make $. It will make decisions to maximize ways to make $. However, there literally hundreds of online games out there. Players should decide whether Tanki is still worth playing.  

 

It seems users opinions are no not valued by Tanki. I stopped providing feedback or filling out surveys, knowing it is just a waste of time. Tanki will do whatever it wants. I will keep playing until it time to move on. Tanki is not the only online game.  After tanks, I think I will try war planes.

Glad you're enjoying alterations. AS far as M0 goes, the only alterations what will be available at that rank are purely aesthetic.

 

Got it - yeah this noob completely missed that the alterations pricing is relative to the M-level of the alteration itself. Thus some 50k and some 100k. Doh!

 

Guessing the M0 pricing will be something like 5k and M3 pricing will be 250k :ph34r:

I very much doubt they will put the 1500 supply kit back into the garage, If you played clever enough you could earn enough crystals to purchase another kit without spending real money. Tanki now realise this and is now forcing you to use real money to play. You simply use $ to play, Get your butt kicked every battle, Play XP/BP and get bored or leave the game the choice is yours

What does one think of the Rico alteration module: Good, Bad or a flop?

girl for now its good but remember if i understand it correct that this is only m1 so there will more improving to come out on it .. I bought and this was a mistake when i should have waited to see the rest of the product to see if the last package had all of the items in..

 

my advise to hold out and see what the other alterations will be then choose...
