I recently came back to Tanki and I want a few answers before I head back into playing again. I haven't played the game since 2012, obviously a lot has changed!

 

1. Why should I download Tanki Online?

2. Have crystals inflated? Why?

3. Why can't I choose what server I would like to play on like in the past?

4. Why are there so little games available for me to play?

5. What happened to the protection from paint?

6. What are all these new ranks?

 

However, one thing has not changed. There are Russians everywhere.

1. Why should I download Tanki Online?

•Answer

Tanki Online has released its downloadable Client recently. Downloadable client is easy to use and by using it you'll experience less lags and a decent FPS and Ping.

•How to Download the Client

 

Downloading and installing the client is as simple as it gets, simply go to the TO homepage and click 'Download' button and it begins immediately, the file size is 8.9 MB. When the download is completed; double click on the file and follow the installation wizard, this is straight forward should only take a few seconds. Windows Defender may pop-up with a message saying 'Windows protected your PC' or something similar, it is completely safe to use so click 'More info' then 'Run anyway'.

 

2. Have crystals inflated? Why?

Yes.The prices of a Crystal's are bit increased when you are buying them for real money.Some new packages have also been replaced over the old ones.Moreover a Tanki Online Shop has been introduced.More info about shop Here

3. Why can't I choose what server I would like to play on like in the past?

• Tanki Online introduced Automatic Server Selection depending on your rank.More Info about that can be found in Server Divided by Ranks

4. Why are there so little games available for me to play?

2. Have crystals inflated? Why?

Yes.

"On February 12th, Update 123 was released. All the parameters related to crystals were increased by ten times except the funds, which were growing slower than in the previous version.

The curtailed funds were offset by numerous discounts offered throughout the year, including those which were not timed to the big holidays."

About that time, Gold box value was incread from 100 to 1000.

I recently came back to Tanki and I want a few answers before I head back into playing again. I haven't played the game since 2012, obviously a lot has changed!

 

1. Why should I download Tanki Online? You shouldn't yet, multiple incidents of people losing their battle fund due to fault of the client.

2. Have crystals inflated? Why? Well, Tanki was "too easy before" or something. Yes, they have inflated and so have buying prices.

3. Why can't I choose what server I would like to play on like in the past? You can.

4. Why are there so little games available for me to play? Well, due to some unpopular updates and the crystal inflation along with WoT wrecking Tanki the playerbase has been gradually flowing away as well as due to cheaters. Also, this may be because you are on the wrong server as players change their server from the designated one quite often.

5. What happened to the protection from paint? The paints and protections got switched, so you can mix the Forester protection with Green paint. There are new protection modules, which all have the same stats.

6. What are all these new ranks? After a certain update, bored Marshals got 3 more ranks -- fieldmarshal, commander, and generalissimo. Of course, most the Marshals have been playing for a while and already got 1.4 million XP, the generalissimo rank requirement.

 

However, one thing has not changed. There are Russians everywhere. who've got better equipment than us, having m4s at colonel XD

First off, welcome back!

 

To answer your questions:

1. The Tanki Online Client was released to reduce lags and improve FPS when playing, if you do not face any of these problems, you can continue to play through your preferred browser.
2. Prices of crystals have changed over the years, now it is more beneficial to buy bigger crystal packages than small ones. Apart from that, more has changed in the buying area, which is now called The Shop, you can check it out in the game.
3. You can choose a server yourself, just not from the home page anymore. You can either change the server from here:  or you can change the server number in the battle link on your URL bar.
4. You can check out other servers to see if there are more battles for your rank.
5. Protections were separated from paints, paints are solely for looks now, while protection modules serve the purpose of reducing the damage dealt by opponents. You can find both of them in your garage, under the tabs "Paints" and "Protections".
6. After the rebalance, which happend at the end of 2012, three new ranks were introduced: Field Marshal, Commander and Generalissimo. More information on ranks can be found on the Tanki Wiki.
