The construction period of the contest "The Pyramid of Tanki" has concluded and it is time to see who won the highest bid! Although, very few (less than expected) entries were showcased on the contest topic. For that reason, the prizes have been adjusted so every participant goes home with something! Lets see how they turned out!

1st place finishers that will receive a pool of 30,000 crystals are the 3 dimensional entries:
∆ The Black Pyramid ∆ by @viking4j and crew

2nd place finisher that will receive a pool of 20,000 crystals for an abstract 2 dimensional pyramid:

3rd place finishers that will receive a pool of 10,000 crystals are the 2 dimensional pyramids:

I thank our participants for doing their best to create something new by working together. Please, share your thoughts on the results. Also, if this contest were to be done again, your suggestions on how to make it better. Thanks again!

For the winners depicted in this topic: A private message will be sent to the entry's poster very soon in regards to the prize pool and how it is to be split with your crew. You will have less than 48 hours to respond to this request promptly. Otherwise, the pool will be split evenly. The prize pool itself will be distributed on Monday, the 10th of October.

Great news, congrats to all the winners.

Sorry rko_dude, (we missed you), you came late, so by  the time you were ready we had to convince two players who came for a DM battle in the first place and explain them what we were trying to attempt. But i'm not worrying for you as you won some crystals (10k for third place - well done) from Caption this contest which made you win more crystals than us  :D  (for much less pain/work). Furthermore the reward dropped from 40k to 30k (25% reduction), and the pool of 30k is to split between the 2 co-first teams: 30k / 14 tankers (=2,142 crys / tanker).

It's great fun despite the small reward per tankers and the amount of preparation required with team contest entries (gathering people, making them work together, managing team conflict,...). Based on this I don't think this type of contest (requiring a team) will be as popular as caption this (technically if you have a brain you can find a good caption in 5 minutes top).

Nah, it's all good; it's my computer's fault for being late. The good news as you mentioned, is that we all know I earned more for less effort that we did our best and had fun B) Hope to we can do something like this again in the future; hopefully I will not be so busy and be better equipped.

Why don't you just tell the truth and say that you were still in bed enjoying your Sunday morning? ;)

I forgot, big thank you to @CooperO who worked out her little magic regarding our communication hurdle.

PMs have been sent to the authors of the entries, please respond as soon as possible!

Furthermore the reward dropped from 40k to 30k (25% reduction), and the pool of 30k is to split between the 2 co-first teams: 30k / 14 tankers (=2,142 crys / tanker).

Each group within the 1st and 3rd placements gets a prize pool of 30k and 10k respectively; 30k/7 = ~4285 crystals, so the winnings have wider portions between placement. Also, it doesn't have to be shared equally, that is up to the author.

I enjoyed running this and seeing what you guys came up with but I'd like some feedback on the format and what you think should be done differently if it were to happen again.

Chill bro. Getting those mammoths on top of the dictators was monumental task though :'D

Perhaps we ought to have taken slightly better pics.

My suggestion is that if this contest were to happen again in the future, then allow a photographer who's not part of the pyramid.

I can only use what was given in the actual entry. I do not see that picture there.

My suggestion is that if this contest were to happen again in the future, then allow a photographer who's not part of the pyramid.

It can be done, the rules would include the terms that go along with that. The idea behind NOT mentioning external photography was so that anyone who was willing to show up to help would be in the pyramid. That way everyone would be involved in the team building experience. I know you are worried about presentation in regards to view with the screens, that was not a huge factor in judging the entries.

Cool contest. The one big suggestion I have is to not make 3 angles "mandatory". For the groups that remembered to do so, they did not really lend more to the overall feel of the pyramid, so I feel like a well-done picture from 1 angle suffices. For example, look at our entry- another angle would not have added anything to the picture.

But for another person's entry, perhaps a misplaced tank had been hidden, or there was a hole, or a wasp was used as the base  . It would be possible to hide this from view.
