[Declined] Suggestion: 1 change in shop.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I haven't been playing TO for a long time(but I just can't forget about some stuff in it, just don't like the gameplay anymore), but one thing that I do remember from my last time playing, was that everybody is in some way mad about the way you can buy crystals in this game. The word "buyer" was something that I did commonly see in the in-game chatrooms. I have also done some research on this at the time, and I found one video on this 'classyplebs' channel, where he explained a little bit why buying crystals is overpowered, especially at the lower ranks. That because you will be able to buy product kits and dominate your opponents.

So that's one big problem, buying crystals means that you get good stuff against people who don't always have that gear. I have been thinking of one solution, and it would probably solve the problem for a big part. What they have to change, is that when you buy a bunch of crystals, you will also get a lot of experience points. This would make you a higher rank, which first of all give you even more crystals, but also, would make you fight against higher ranked people who have a bigger change of having the same gear that you just bought, so it would be a little more balanced. This would help to prevent people from buying all goods they want and so win from all "non-buyers". Also it will depend on your current rank how much experience points you will get.

Long story short, you buy crystals, within the package there is some experience points included, depending on your rank. Straight up buying product kits in the shop will also give you xp.

Developers are strongly against selling experience in any way. If players get experience by purchasing crystals, it will make "experience" lose its value and ranks will mean nothing because they can be bought. Besides, the buyers themselves will suffer from the update as they will progress through ranks and face more skilled opponents without having enough training themselves.
