First I thought it is an error at Tanki Online Wiki page.

 

 

This is less protection than before not more. Both armor and damage were mutliplies by 10. That is, the value just shifted a decimal place. Old 405 = new 4050.

Guys STOP - or rather shut it; listen to the V-LOG one more time and then whine about 'RIP Tanki'.

You don't even listen carefully and just hear the phrase 'prices are going up' and then start complaining and 'oooh rip tanki' and whatnot <_<

I'm really uncertain about the supply rebalancing and why are you increasing the cool down for mines?!

Let's see what happens during testing.

Lol, really? Looooooooooooool. Not a surprise they did a lot of MU sales XD. We spent our crystals on popular weapon and now they nerf it lol. 71 for a crit, lol.

They nerfed my smoky and isida =/

Well, there is no question but my particular combination will no longer play like it used to. Will I enjoy it ore, or less? Impossible to tell, but I don't think I would bet money on "like it more".

 

Viking is losing a lot of its characteristices. Acceleration is what you need when fighting out of cover. Weight is coming down a lot. Speed is up. It's turning into a heavy Hornet.

 

At the same time Smokey is being changed dramatically. It is being made more damaging at short range and that is a boost. But top range is cut dramatically as is critical hit damage. In fact a critical hit as short rage does not much more damage than a regular hit. Since most fighting will be  done at shorter ranges this means critical hits are much less important to real DPS.

 

Gosh, and at the same time Smokey users are offered an alteration to increase impact force in exchange for those crits. So that is a bit more useful a tradeoff for 50,000 Cr.  But all the hull weights are being changed dramatically. No one will know if this impact effect will be significant in game play. And any rentals before the change will not be valid for after the change.

 

Add hull and turret together and it is unlikely I will find myself equipped to thrive in the roles I have today.

 

So bottom line I have two general courses of action. I can pususe Viking/Smokey and hope after the change I like the combo even better. All these changes must be seen in context with one another.

 

Or do I just not buy anything until after the update. Just play Tanki for the daily missions and log out. Save every Cry for the post-change sale? Then I can react to the new conditions and buy the hull/turret combo I will like post-change. This option means I play Tanki less and grow distant from it.

 

Answering that question will depend on the time frame. So we do not need a specific date, but we players need to know a ballpark goal. One month? End of the year? We players need some guideline. thank you.

Also a short word about Tanki supplies use policy.

 

We are being told Tanki desires to reduce supply use in battles.

 

Every change made so far points to increased supply use. Cheap 1500 item kits. Now less significance to the 'smart supply' system. An 11% reduction in duration. 

 

If Tank wants to reduce supplies use the solution is to weaken their effect. There is no inherent reason they have to be in the game.

 

Anyway, I've been a customer of many a game company as have most of my fellow gamers. We know when we are  getting straight talk and when we are being fed a line of stuff. The disconnect between Tanki's stated policy and their nuts-and-bolts changes in the game do not inspire confidence.

re-balancing on the name of earning more and more money do you thing we are fools each and ever update has one solo target "more money" first you divide paint and protection module and you introduce new protection module with way too high price which a non buyer can't buy. Then you remove 1500 supply kit and fool us by saying this will reduce drug abuse(a huge thumsup by buyers) now  this new update cool down of drug is reduce so that buyer can use more and more drugs and kill non buyers very easily. I dare you reply me. tell me when was the last update which was not targeting our pocket. each and every update is only for money you simply refuse any suggestion and request of players. RIP tanki 

 

I knew that they will not reply they are arrogant money hungry people

1. Tankers who used to save their crystals for a bigger/better equipment will not do that anymore. They will choose an M3 turret and hull and stick with it at Marshall rank and not try other weapons that become available with ranking up.

2. Battles with participants from different ranks will be biased for the guys with the higher ranks because others will still be competing with M2

3. Isida is weakening too much. Less damage, less healing and almost not much self healing.

4. You are making smoky a medium range weapon. Same for vulcan.

5. Firebird will be an awesome attack weapon at close range.

6. Mammoth is now the old titan, right?

Why don't tanki not restricted non buyer (f2p) people in forum.

always they don't understand how helpful tanki's developers are.

every thing they do is good for players , even they don't think about economical side for tanki online,

they do it for fame only, their moto is to be no 1 in gaming world, that's it....

 

Don't listen tanki don't

 

Ban them all from forum

kick off that fools :angry: (including me)

Why would someone buy an M3 isida which costs more than M3 firebird and less effective?

Isida is becoming almost useless in DM battles, so missions of DM  take much more time to finish with isida than with any other turret.

 

Do you really want isida players avoid certain kind of battles?

firebird takes now 5sec to completely heat a tank up.. in the past it was just 2,5sec.

This will decrease burning damage massively..

together with the decreased loadinng time, firebird will be more like a direct charge weapon instead of that heat-and-run turret.

 

although.. The alternation on haeting rate and max temp combined with less reload will impact massively

This re-balance took the last straw for me. No more crystal buying! Just when I got isida m4, you will trash it. Not happy at all. I can understand the fact that powerful turrets are offered at lower ranks and up-ing the level for those makes sense. I get it your trying to increase the popularity of other not so popular items and make players buy more stuff and not only stick with one item for 5 rank levels.

 

Hope this update becomes popular more then it will be hated, good luck with that..

AbsoluteZero is 100% correct. Now, I think that once I run out of supplies, I'll have to leave the game. I refuse to buy that drug kit and refuse to play XP/BP matches all my career just because I have no supplies. Now supply super missions will be a huge deal. Then again, I won't be surprised if even the supply missions get removed. The only way to earn supplies now is through normal missions (which barely give any supplies anyways). The next thing I wanna talk about. How the absolute heck are you planning for us to manage an STG event? Mining with the 20 second cooldown was quite a long time, it often took about an hour of mining. This means it'll take double the time now to do the same amount of work. Tanki is just getting ridiculous. You're forcing loyal players to have to cope with one horrible update after another. This game is deteriorating and self-imploding. These updates are no longer required. I don't even know what to say. These updates are NOT "needed" or even beneficial to the most part of the community.

Being passed through several balance changes, I know that usually those changes are made to make the game fair. As I say to newcomers... "There is not a best turret in Tanki. If some turret becomes OP, devs will nerf it very quickly". So I hope that (once I get adapted to changes) actual gameplay becomes improved.

 

But... why did you reduce supplies cooldowns??!!! That's is a step in the complete wrong direction! You are actually increasing supplies effectiveness, when (as I see) the game cries for reducing it.

 

For me a good battle is one with balanced teams, where you can win if you play well and you can lose if you make mistakes. At higher ranks is difficult to find those battles, due to the two biggest balance changers in Tanki: druggers and mults. In the end, a balanced battle is one with similar number of druggers and mults :(

 

The mult problem is impossible to solve if you can choose (and change) sides freely. But the druggers... you can't compete at all with a drugger unless you drug yourself too, given that supplies gives between 2x till 8x advantage (repair kit being the most outrageous). And as soon as few players start drugging, the battle becomes really ugly for the ones who does not. Always, always, the team who drugs more wins.

 

Someone will say "Oh, play PRO battles then". But PRO battles are not an actual choice for most players, and not due to pass price, but because there you'll face the best teams of Tanki players (that's another problem, is hard to find a skill balanced PRO battle).

 

And you... Increase drug effectiveness??? seriously? I understand that this is a business, and you monetize the game selling advantages. But making those advantages too defining, you'll making this a completely P2W game which Tanki was specially *NOT*. Are you aiming to that?

 

I like the strategic value that supplies add in battle. I like the possibility of combining several of them at once. What I doesn't like at all is the posibilty of using them 100% of the time, as that makes battles not balanced / not fun.

 

I doubt that you change your mind. I guess the supplies improvement comes from marketing department, and not from game designers. 

 

So no. Take the opposite action.

 

To improve the game, please increase supplies cooldown against itself a lot (DD -> DD 60 seconds, DA -> DA 60 seconds). That way you can drug, use them all at once, drug in groups to storm defenders, and get a paid advantage... but not ALL THE TIME.

 

I could suggest that in the I&S forum, but doing that would be futile... I hope to be wrong, but I think that this time you are doing the wrong thing :)

The upcoming update is literally another rebalance but only for M3's. Why is this only a concern for M3's? What about M2's like Ricochet, when that's MUed to M3 its OP and it can be done at WO5 with Boar Kit.

 

The update seems really unnecessary and the amount of M4's at such a low rank is really uncommon. This update will literally kill any upcoming player approaching the M3 ranks, including my alts. We'll be in battles with full M3's and we'll still have M2's, now how is that balance? Just put a restriction on MU's, say you unlock 10 per new rank or something till you reach Marshal.

 

Only fair way is a rebalance, and doing this for all ranks M0/M1/M2/M3.

Lighter hulls will not go any faster actually a little slower.... Because although speed boost is 40% the light hulls now have a slower max speed.

okk it will look like this but in the long run it wont be .. you guys are forgetting about alterations that will be added so some of them with give us speed and take a % off something else so down the road , I see what we have now will be still here but in separated sections like our paints protection and paints .. if this is the way Dev's are thinking .. also they have been watching our game play for sometime on how we use our tanks and which drugs are in high demands.. for me i stay away from mines / speed i find little use for them and then it works great for larger tanks who need the speed .. so i feel in the end / just give it time and things will balance to a better game play...
