Hey all,

 

I've been silent over the past few pages for a reason. Many of your arguments —while valid— can only be confirmed or refuted once the changes are actually in the game, so it's pointless for me to get into such conversations and cause people undue frustration.

 

Additionally, while I have answered a number of questions, for some of your other ones I need to get feedback from the devs.

 

On a final note, I'm making note of all your comments, both positive and critical, and passing on the information to the devs. Bear in mind that I do not make any decisions when it comes to what gets implemented in the game and what stays out. My only role here is to be a bridge between you and the devs. I bring your arguments to them, and their arguments to you.

I understand. Still there is the question: what about the kits? Do you know what will happen to them, or don't you?
Will the M3 kits for example all move up to the minimum rank of Lieutenant General? Or hasn't this been decided yet?
Will all kits be available at the current rank before the 'rebalance' takes place? It is quite frustrating to almost reach a rank where you can buy a kit, and then NOT seeing in the garage due to the rotation, and then seeing disappear because it moves to a much higher rank due to the 'rebalance'. Is it possible for ALL kits to appear just once, before the 'rebalance'?

I think of supplies should be paid via the shop the price can not be the crystaleqivalent to a Garage price.

 

You didn't say why.

Thats (part of) the reason:

I have the assumption, that generalissimo buyers in the past played the game and earned crystals, and if they run out of supplies they just topped up their crystals by money to afford a supply Kit... so the price in the shop may onlyreflect that topup.. or else the supplies would appear more expensive to buyers.

If that assumption is correct, then pricing the supply kits at the real money crystalequivalent would mean that buyers would have to spend more money on the game to continue their playing style like they do today.

This will lead to:

- a "felt price increase" -> which will not be received positive by buyers

- it makes them rethink their budget, if they need to calculate it (pocket money)

- or it makes them run into a psychological border ("I can afford to spend a little more.. but I simply dont want to spend more then xy bucks per month on that game...")

 

Of course it raises kind of the same issues in free players, that used to purchase the supply kits with crystals earned in the game. But you know how much Tanki gives for free players in comparsim to buyers.

Besides that a lot of free players reside on the hope (by Tanki) that the drug usage will drop, and therefore the free players will have less of an issue. This is true on one hand, while on the other hand the free players will be pretty helpless against organised buyers raiding teams. I doubt that Tanki will take away this threat to the free players; as it is the main argument to sell supplies to buyers.

 

But.. despite of the consequences (positive and negative).. I think they simply can not charge as much as the crystalequivalent, without driving some buyers away. And for the buyers they (have to) care most.

I had no idea a new product was undr development. (Tanki X) This helps me make sense of some of the recent decisions. Tanki Online is a mature game. Most of the existing player base is very highly ranked with relatively liittle new blood coming in. So of course they will cater to the high-ranking players who financially support the game.

 

But for new players like me, the best hope is that Tanki X will be a fun game that develops around a new generation of players.

You could check the load distribution on EN5+6 vs EN1..4

You have a scrip that can check the number of players in active battles.. could you expand it to see, how the rank distribution is? This would be a nice information.. to see how much time / server capacity is consumed by "new"-vs-"matured" accounts in this game.

also no one is forcing anyone to pay for things its fully your choices to do it.. you can still play this game with out money ..sure its not easy but you can do it ..

Playing without paying is one thing but being competitive is an entirely different situation.

 

A lot of non-buying players need the crystals they earn to get the best modification and it's micro-upgrades.  The thing that wasn't easy before was the managing of these upgrades with the accumulation of supplies. It's was a difficult thing to do and players had to be selective, leaving many battles that turn out to be drug fests.

 

Now that 1500 supply kits have been reduced in cost in the shop for buyers and the equivalent in the garage has seen a 150% increase in price, there is little hope for free to play players when they come across buyers.

 

No non-buyer wants everything on a plate. They know they have to work harder in time and in effort to get the things buyers get with a single click. But why do the devs make it practically impossible for them?

 

Consider the cost of 1500 supplies for a buyer in crystals

now consider the same for a non-buyer

262500

 

The non-buyer's price to buy is almost a 500% increase for that of the buyer. This is unreasonable.

those 500% are simply too much of an advantage / disadvantage.
I'm not pro-drugs.. I preffer to play without.. and I dislike it if some single drug abusers turn normal battles with the flick of their hand.

 

But I was told by some druggers, that they actually love to play Full-Drug-vs-Full-Drug battles.
So they were clearly not talking about drug abuse or shaving some non-druggers down to the bone; no: they truely love full drug battles. I've joined some to see how they are.. how they fight and what they write in chat: they truly love it and if you dont drug there, you are a mult (which is logical).

The opportunity to participate _there_ is practically taken away from free players now.

Thats kind of sad for those guys and girls.
I proposed a solution with two different supply stocks; but I think thats too complex and does not work so well.

so on the other hand I think that
- get rid of drugs in normal battles
- and introduce them only to pro battles
- keep cheap supplies for crystals
..would maybe be more of a benefit to the whole game.

Ah I see :)   I was not aware that this info is clearly available on the homepage (I never visit it :p ).

I thought you automatically login with a game account, grab the battle list and count the number of participants in each battle on each server :)

all i have is a smoky/viking combo..been using it exclusively and have spent time and some building it to where it is. now i see a lot of RED in the rebalance charts.. why?

 

vulcan and twins should be the ones decreased as they are too OP. leave the smoky alone, in fact, put some more power to it on regular shots.

 

im sure you gathered stats to justify the rebalancing... any chance we can get some explanations why one tank's parameters decreased while another one increased?

The stats that they get is mostly from Poly CPs and sandboxes. -_-

I don't understand why on earth are they nerfing smoky so much?! It's a long range turret and let it be so.

Now thunders impact force is coming close to smoky and that's ridiculous.

If smoky gets a nerf in damage and critical, at least give it a perk on impact force and range.

Isida has now become a worthless piece of junk at an astronomical price.

I would like to know what happens to the money we spend on this game?

My internet connection is perfectly stable but your servers are absolute rubbish.

On an average, I refresh 2-3 times before I actually manage to log in and I keep losing connection every now and then. This problem has been persisting for the last few weeks and it's ridiculous.

This game also lacks diversity now.

I saw they reduced the number of servers for Tanki Online during the last months continously, which will for sure lead to more load on the servers.

 

Besides the fact that the active number of players reduces itself over time since 2 years -> I assume (!!!) that they use at least some of those servers to host Tanki X now.

Best thing to this game: No more items that require $$ to buy. Only hardwork.

please calculate how many hours you "work" here in this game per week; then estimate how much money you could earn in the real world if you use 1/3rd of your ingame time to work for money; then consider if it's worth to do so and buy premium.. or simply just plain crystals in larger badges. Just to find out, what "pays off" more

The Russian economy is in the toilet so they are trying to make money, especially any money besides the ruble. Also Russia has so many sanctions against it for invading the Ukraine and other human rights abominations that it can barely function. Oil prices are low which tears up the Russian economy which relies on sales of oil.

Let's try to avoid discussing politics and such issues in here. It's not a pleasant subject in this case, and can potentially lead to some uncomfortable conversations  ^_^

Honestly, I would not know if these changes will make game better or worser. Time will tell obviously. For someone who literally got isida and viking to M4, I obviously hate this update. Killed both of them. I mean completly waste of crystal hull and turret. Yes, make twins more powerful, that proper spam weapon, which is used by people who have prick on their space button and do not turn turret - greak f job. Rebalance is obviously a way to get people buy new stuff(which is not bad or good) as different hulls/turrets will be OP now - like hunter. Same with protection modules - don't need isida one anymore. Thank god at least one of my fav turret - shaft, didn't get HUGE decrease in every aspect. Still proper nerf from damage done, but so did hulls, so I am good.

ok i do understand and with the lower cost of crystals in battle funds it is getting harder to choose to battle with drugs or upgrade items and buying new ones to keep up.. this i wish they would go back and correct the amounts .. due to the fact in battles you spend more on drugs in cost wise then getting back in battles .. its like something like 1/4 % return ..which is where the mistake is the return is peanuts compared to shelling out .. with crystal drops gone we still loose,..

Cedric, you said that you will reply on Monday about the sales

The equipment has been handed out. The only one still pending is the reward for @boxmaxbox because she still hasn't replied about which turret she wants.

 

Will all the M4 parameters that were acquired before the update stay the same or will they be overridden by the update?

Parameters will be updated according to the update.
