My KillerDiesel account uses m0 gear, and I do often find some full m1 players, which don't set me back a whole lot, I'm basically doing just fine, and I got 32k crystals on it ^^

 

I don't mind playing with fully upgraded players or druggers, to be honest, as long as they don't rely too heavily on power and less on skills, in which case I take advantage of^^

Here is my take on your suggestion, and this is something I was thinking about playing on my captain-ranked alt against M4s. There should be unlock ranks for MU levels. For example, if a person buys Thunder M3 in a kit (and this will change with the impending update), they should have to rank up once to unlock MUs, then rank up one more level to be able to MU past 20/50, then rank again to fully MU their item. These numbers are definitely up for debate, but you get the general concept.

 

Releasing a system like this would decrease the OP-ness of MUs, but still allow people such as buyers to be stronger than their opponents, which happens to be the appeal behind buying crystals.
