How to manage clueless teammates

Please tell me Jwimmer why did you decide to make an "alt" account? Do you think Tanki is getting more and more hard at M2-M3 ranks?

From my experience, M2 ranks are the most enjoyable ranks. This is my second account and I started quitting cuz I entered in the m3 ranks. 

 

Why is that? Because the use of drugs and microupgrades significantly increase at m3 ranks

Luckily I am here to help you with the answer of ''how to manage clueless teammates''. Answer is simple; Introduce them to XP/BP. After that its only a matter of time before they become legends.

Do these things to avoid them.

1. Rank to generalissmo and then go a battle full of generalissmos , this usually minimizes the risk. Ofc there are some noob generalissmos who use m1 , multing - still the risk is minimized

2. Play pro battles more often , ofc with all generalissmos in it , mostly generalissmos are good enough for you to enjoy the game.

3. Play battles with less no. of players like sandbox , hill , arena to minimize the noobs risk.

4. Never tell a noob that he is a "" noob "" because then he will not listen to you . Kindly ask him to leave the game because

    a. Your friend wants to join

    b. Teach him that this battle is way out of his league and with him the team will probably lose. ( even if he pauses tell him that )

5. At peak times of the game the voting system mostly works. So do that.

6. As stated by above players ~~ join a clan.

This should be added to the game.

something like in league Of legends. the Divisions of a tanker based on a Skill. since there are always noobs even on generalissimo ranks.

So creating something similar to "Ranked" battles in league of legends. special hard battles that u have to win to earn a higher division.

and Higher division that have a lot of wins cannot be placed in the battles together with players with low division or with players that dont have a lot of wins in "ranked" battles.

this mechanism in tanki would be aswesome, if allowing players to create battles for a certain division when making pro battles, just to make sure u don't end up with some noobie that plays too bad for his rank. Just my opinion though..doubt  it will ever be added. (dead game)

I always carry flag, I use my Viking. And keep the flag safe and have my teammates return. I know the flag is safe and that hopefully someone will return, and if not. It is still a tie.

Here's what happened in a recent battle of CTF I was in.

 

I was on my way to the enemy base when I saw the flag carrier headed to our base with very little health. I followed him as closely as I could, trying to cover his "tail pipe." He was snipped and died. I picked up the flag and carried it back to our base. i hung unto it until he respawned and gave it back to him for the capture point. (i figured he fought for it and deserved the point). But instead of making the capture, he headed back to the enemy base. I followed him knowing he was about to get killed and lose the flag. Fortunately, I was right there when he died. I grabbed the flag and headed back to the base again. He respawned and indicated he wanted the flag back. By this time, our flag was gone and I knew he would take their flag back to the enemy base for some more xtra points. I refused to give it to him. In chat he said, "Gimme dat flag back its mine." (Exact quote). He tried to flip me, push me out into the line of fire, etc. When our flag returned, he tried to block me. Meanwhile, we both got one-shotted together and lost the flag. In team chat, he said, "Torva is a noob. He made us lose the flag. Report him." No one did.

 

So, it happens even on higher levels. The reason for the behavior you described, is because you get extra points for killing the enemy while in possession of the flag. That's why on maps like Massacre and Camp, you'll see players fighting the battle with the flag instead of trying to cap. There's nothing you can do about it. It's part of the game play.

2.) Tell him to get out of the battle for a 1v1

 

3.) Stay and try to invite people to the battle to cover up the amount of players in the battle

 

4.) In the battle, send a dislike gift to the noob telling him " You just got pranked bro " ( If he is not in the battle )

Maybe because you're a team player and the winning point is more important to the team? The a team could care less about your extra points, but do care if you lose the flag and possibly the winning point by you acting foolhardy and being selfish. 

 

I'm sure you've been in a CTF battle where your team lost by one flag. Supposing your team lost by one flag just because you decided to get a few extra points, died and lost the flag causing your team to lose. You would have gotten a lot more crystals by winning than by losing.

If you find that there are too many nobs on the team that you are on, just leave and join the other side.
