Hahaha ironic that you made this topic, since you made a topic crying about how buyers annoy you and you want to quit..

Emm how is this ironic?

almost 4 months has passed since i made this topic.

Also.... I didnt "Cryed" about buyers cuz i was buyer too.

All what i said is this game is P2W and its not fun. The one with most drugs owns the game.

0% skill 100% drugs

I don't buy, but I can go head to head with a buyer and beat them, only because I don't play much and I get plenty of drugs from missions, and I saved them up, I'm only low on repair kits tho.

And some buyers actually hate me

I don't hate you.

I don't hate buyers sinc eI get nearly as good equipment as they do without buying.

I got M2 Hammer 24/50 with the High Capacity Drum alteration for roughly 160,000 crystals :3

It's called smart saving/spending and how to make crystals in the first place, then wait until the next major sales to get what you want! :D

Mango, be completely honest :P

In your "Guide to being a Free Player" you mentioned you'd bought crystals before.

Actually, getting a decent account without buying/with little buying isn't hard.

I've only ever bought 200k crystals, yet I currently have 5 M3s (all of which are 10 microupgraded, and the Thunder is 21) plus several M3 Modules.

Just need to save up, then only buy during sales. My tactics.

Sure I use supplies, but I don't buy them with real world money. The only time I use them is if I'm up against a team of "durggers." Look at my profile. I've seen players half my rank having used a thousand of each supply. I do ok for myself. I'm not "Top Dog" in a battle, but I'm not always last, either.

I'm not opposed to using supplies. What I don't like are those who use them constantly throughout the game. If the one in their inventory is still in time-out, they will go into the battle field and grab more. I call them "weak tanks and weak weapons." In my estimation, they have spent money mostly on supplies and less on the tank and weapon, thinking the supplies will fill that gap. I know from experience this is true. I've been up against druggers (buyer of drugs) right after they respawn of if their supplies are still in time out. They are easy kills. But with a DD activated, they can be very hard to kill.

I don't have any M3's in my garage and probably never will have. The reason is because I don't spend money on games and I have to buy supplies in order to compete with my peers.

I have a limited income. Games don't put food on the table, a roof over your head or a car in the driveway. It doesn't keep the electricity on, the water running, and the natural gas flowing for my furnace and clothes dryer. I don't have Mommy and Daddy to ask, nor any other family member. When it comes to survival, I am an island upon my self.

Am I jealous? HELL NO, I'm not jealous. If you have the money to waste on a game that doesn't care if you live or die, then go for it. If you have parents, relatives, friends who are willing to give you that money to waste, fine with me. Personally, if I had the extra money, I'd rather put it in the bank for something that I need, give me some pleasure, or come in handy in the event of an emergency.

What I don't like, is the unbalance in play supplies create. If an M2 is suppose to have the power of an M4, then make the M2 an M4 and so on. Supplies are here to stay. It's a money maker. As long as players are willing to waste the money, then the supplies with always be there.

This goes for the upgrades and modules, as well. I have some modules, but they are left over from the days when they came with the paints. I will never be able to buy a module, nor will I ever be able to have enough crystals to buy a kit or an M3, because I depend strictly on what I make in the battles. Yes, I have been very tempted to spend money in this game, if only to be able to kill an enemy tank that isn't already 3/4 dead. But then I look at my dogs and think, "At the end of the month, if I don't have enough money to buy dog food, I would feel very, very angry at myself.

You didn't want to make this personal, but it is personal. When I started playing this game, it was a non-buyers game with the option to buy. Now, with all the updates that cost extra real world money, it has become a buyers game with the option not to buy. It's all about the Have's and Have-Nots. Buyers are the Have's and the non-buyers are the Have-Nots. It's a phenomenon that has been raging all through history. The problem with buyers is that they depend upon whatever it is they buy with their money and can't really appreciate the dynamics of the game without them. It's a lot like gambling and other such habits. Once you feel the power, the win, the excitement of the one shot kill, it's hard NOT to buy. It becomes  a way of life, sort to speak.  FEEL THE POWAH!!

Personal conclusion. TO and the Developers of TO have set up an environment of "psychological warfare" sort to speak. Buyers have bought into that trap, because they feel they cannot compete, do their best, have lost self-confidence in their ability to play effectively without buying. Rarely, will you see them in a PP battle that has supplies deactivated. I'm not talking about the occasional buyers, I'm talking about the habitual buyers.

If I sound angry, it's because, I am. This used to be a fun game to play. One I spent hours playing, until it became a buyer's game. Now it's not as fun anymore. I may spend an hour playing and then call it quits. Now, I spend more time in the forums, than I do in battle. I have found other multi-player games just as fun, if not more, that doesn't require me to spend my hard earned money in order to compete.

Okay, I'm off my soap box. You asked, so I responded.

Check out Youtubers such as Pewdiepie. Living contradictions to this statement :P

But yeah, I agree on most parts. I'm an 'occasional' buyer, so I have limited supplies and resources. People still call me a 'drugger' from time to time, but I try to drug only when necessary, and the maximum usage for me is equal to my Week 4 chain rewards (so I don't need to buy supplies).

I managed to get an M3 (before the rebalance) at Lieutenant Colonel without buying a single crystal. Good accounts are possible without buying, just takes a little more care and time.

10 tips to creating a good non-buyer account.

1) Rank up as slow as possible. In this way you'll get maximum crystals compared to Experience. You can also simply log in daily to complete missions, which is a good tactic. Never Powerlevel, do not Wasp/Fire with flags. It destroys accounts.

2) Don't be the guy who has a full M1 garage at 3rd Lieutenant. Buy a solid combination or two, then save all your crystals.

3) Buy during sales only if you can. I managed to get Bulldozer, M2 XP, M2 Titan, Wasp, Viking, Fire and Twins without buying a single crystal at Colonel, all because I only bought garage items during sales.

4) Don't microupgrade unless you have M3s. Microupgrades aren't really for non-buyers, unless it's something with a large rank gap between modifications (such as Smoky M1 - M2).

5) If you have a 200 + score in a battle and it has a fairly low time limit, don't leave even if your team is losing.

6) Never join the losing side unless you are sure you can turn it around.

7) Use your 3hr Premium missions wisely.

8) Save for and buy Product Kits. They're much better value than individual items.

9) Don't buy individual supplies.

10) Play with ranks similar to yours. Low ranks don't generate large funds, but you are less likely to achieve victory versus high ranks.

Crystals are overpriced for English users compared to Russians. 16 Euros for 100,000 crystals is waaay too expensive.

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=299682

The exchange rate is kinda broken. The 100 USD crystal pack is worth 38 USD in the Mexican store, and about 50 USD on the Russian store :P. I know there is a legitimate reason for the disparity, does anyone know it?

Simple: it costs different amounts to transfer your payment to Russia from various parts of the world, so from some countries the payment service takes a bigger share of your money than when you buy from other countries. As a result you pay more, but Tanki gets the same amount of money as from someone who bought the same thing for a cheaper price in Russia.

So you say that these 50% costs to transfer money to russia?

Yeah, pretty much. Sometimes probably even more than 50% goes to payment providers.

OK, so in that case give me one reason why developers would want to purposefully make payments more expensive for foreigners (making them less likely to spend money on the game)?

And why they need to be unfair? Discrimation against other countries... Umm... Whole world to be excatly correct and make others pay more than russians? Maybe lower the price for whole world by 25% and increase it by 25% to russians.

Am I missing something, or did you completely ignore my question? I said name a good reason why devs would do this.

Because what I'm seeing (and from what I heard project officials say) is that there are legitimate reasons for prices outside of Russia to be higher and that due to economic differences and money transfer costs Tanki still gets the same amount in the end. And the numbers you've given me are simply not related to this particular situation.

I readed your qustion and answered it. TO BE FAIR AGAINST EVERYONE AND NOT TO DISCRINIMATE OTHERS AS THEY DO NOW!

And whats wrong with the screenshot i gave to you? It shows that if american pays something to russian then rusian looses 3.*%+10.00 RUB and that not even rear to be equal with 50% as it is currently. Tanki is just being greedy!

Paint bundle costed 5 euros, then 10, now 15 euros.. Whats next? 20? Ofc yes!

No, you misread it. What I asked is what reasons they have to do what they do now (i.e. charge more to foreigners)?

Son, we play in a world that has developers, and those developers have to be paid by people with real money. Who's gonna do it? You? By all means if you can. Buyers have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for the Free Players and you curse the Buyers. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that Buyer spending, while tragic, probably keeps free play alive. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps free play alive! You don't want the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me in that Shop. You need me in that Shop. We use words like “employment”, “earning”, “cost-of-doing-business”. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent doing something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a person who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the free play that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you", and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a job, and pay your own way. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

:D All said with a loving smile.

Same reasons as censoring Hitler and not censoring putin or stalin.

This time they want to get more money from outsiders which are not russians.

By raising the prices and driving potential buyers away with ridiculous price tags? Yeah, seems like an effective strategy.... not.

Also why wouldn't they want to do it to Russians too? I won't take racism for an answer - that's just a pointless rumour.

If its not racism then why Hitler is censored and Putin or Stalin is not censored? There are people with surname Hitler and why their surnames should be censored?

And who said rising prices? I said make them equal. Okay keep those 3.*%+10.00 RUB but dont make it damn 50%! I would say it... Lowering the prices but ofc as you are russian you think that you must pay less than everyone else.

I dont get it... Russians kill ebreys and act like ebreys. If you even know what your grand parents killed during WW2 ofc...

The only difference is that, one of both were smart and second one was just greedy and poor.

No, the smart brain part is not about russians, its about ebreys. But the greedy and poor part was about russia tho...
