Self-destruction using Thunder should damage enemies more

Recommended Posts

When a thunder shoots at you when you block it against a wall it inflicts damage to itself. it does help you, does'nt it?. Thunder can very hardly compeet for gold box since when it shoot at close range it destroys itself.

What is your point there ????

If a Thunder shoot at you when you block it against a wall it inflicts damage to itself, this helps you as if you get a double damage activated... and if you already have your own double damage the Thunder is under balanced to defend.

... and what about when a team mate pass by in front of you (thunder) inadvertently when you shoot ... you get self damages. At least remove self damage when shooting at team mate inadvertently.

I just drug on everything, and I love camping on higher elevations of the map, a d I love my thunder, so no, no wack jobs on my pretty little gun, just leave it alone and it's all good.

But the impact force could use a slight nerf, but other than that, leave it's stats alone.

Hi,

I noticed a new point to consider since my starting of this topic. Some players can join your team and get in front of you (thunder)  to prevent you from shooting and by this mean inflict you damage. They actually play the other side using the self-damage of thunder when hiting team mate.

Is there any mean, at least, to remove self-damage when hiting team mate close to you ?

thanks.

I see your point, and that issue is worst with Striker because you can't control the timing. However I think self-damage when hitting a team mate should stay the same because it's more realistic. But they should consider that when evaluating the turret. That's my opinion.

Yep. But if one wants to be realistic, this should apply both sides. Your unfair "team mate" should be inflicted with damage of your shot.

Your thought ?

We already have this feature, its called friendly fire mode. Funny thing is, if you enable this all people do is shoot their own team. It was removed for a good reason.

So would be fair at least to remove self-damage when hiting a "team mate", this will avoid treaters joining the team.

I don't see the point... Since you can control your timing, just don't shoot when a teammate is in front of you. Maybe go around your teammate to get a clear shot?

True, especially for heavy hulls it will become hard for them to escape and they will keep self damaging themselves

That's the purpose, otherwise Thunder would be overpowered

Ever noticed that each turret has disadvantages?

Thanks, good advice ;) . When they block you against a wall you can't go around, you can't shoot, ... so you just have to leave or wait untill an oponent kill you. Great !

Are you really asking to remove self-damage because of clowns who block their teammates against walls? Even though you had a different weapon you couldn't do anything but waiting or self-destruct...

Record clowns and report them or join against them and smoke them badly

No, I don't ask any removing of self-damaging.

But only remove it when hitting a team mate.

Ricochet does not have this self-damaging when hitting team mates but when bouncing back only. It does not bounce back on team mate.

Suggestion: when a thunder self-destruct it could inflict damage around.

Thunder is my favourite turret and I would enjoy a buff for sure but I don't really think it is necesarry. It is already a balanced weapon and a good choice for DMs even in maps like Poly.

Actually, it's self damage makes it interesting, that's how the turret is, it's good enough for me, brings more skills into the game.

Come on, you play all your time with smoky and 0 hours with Thunder. "Interesting", "good for me" you said ?

Hi

Thunder is the only one when surrounded by ennemies and/or blocked by them against a wall, cannot shot without inflicting damage to itself.

Be blocked against a wall or by opponent is unbalanced for thunders.

Suggestion: when a thunder self-destruct it could inflict damage around. This could make ennemy thinking twice before blocking a thunder against a wall.

Thanks

Yeah, its a good point. But I prefer using an alteration sometimes, so that I don't hurt. But that disables splash damage too and its kinda annoying.
