[Declined] Hybrid Turrets

Hello m8s (mates), I want to introduce you to the idea of HYBRID TURRETS. Hybrid Turrets are turrets that are a mix of two turrets. These turrets will have the unique ability of the two "fused" turrets but with lower attack/reload/etc. stats. This idea is kind of like an Alteration, and can be equipped and unequipped at will

 

Some Hybrid Turrets I thought of are:

  • Fire/Freeze 
  • Rail/Rico
  • Vulcan/Thunder or Hammer
  • Shaft/Thunder

Fire and Freeze (although kind of overpowered) can freeze AND burn enemies, but with lower attack and reload stats, and the Fusion can be applied to both turrets (a Fire Freeze or a Freeze Fire) The "Mother turret's (the turret that gets the fusion applied to it) ability is always more dominant than the "fused turret"'s ability. 

 

A Rail and Rico Hybrid allows the Railgun projectile Bounce off walls and tanks, but the damage after bouncing off an object is lowered significantly. However, a Rico and Rail Hybrid (Rico as the mother turret) is not possible

 

A Vulcan and Thunder/Hammer Hybrid allows the shells of the Vulcan to be Overheated and Explode on impact (splash damage), however the Vulcan's energy drain will be faster and Cooldown is abit slower. (And also, sadly, a Fast firing Thunder Vulcan Hybrid is not possible and if it is, it would be game breaking)

 

A Shaft and Thunder Hybrid is almost as same as a Vulcan and Thunder Hybrid; a Shaft that has Splash Damage, but higher reload time or something. A long range Thunder Shaft Hybrid might be possible

 

So yeah, that was my ideas for this. If YOU have any ideas, plz comment or whatever you do to reply on the forum (sorry, i'm new to this lol :D) and to you Game Designers, PLEASE LET THIS HYBRID IDEA HAPPEN!

We had suggestions like this before. It just doesn't really benefit the game that much. At the moment we have 11 turrets, each of which has specific advantages, disadvantages and special abilities. If you start combining turrets in various ways, not only will that require a ton of effort in balancing the new abominations to be on the same level as normal turrets, but it will also make the gameplay unnecessarily complicated and confusing.

 

Besides, the turrets we have in the game are too different to be combined. Even the combinations you suggested don't make sense. Freeze and burn at the same time? Explosive machine gun bullets? I know this game isn't meant to be realistic, but what the heck!   :blink:

In addition to that^. The combinations you suggest would change the entire dynamics of the game. Just 1 of those hybrids can become game changers, apart from druggers. Also the minimal reality of this game would die if such a update is implemented :P
