To be able to know how these alterations works, the test server should be open. In the game, you should know the alterations very well before buying it as you cannot buy and then test and get disappointing result. Also, you cannot buy all alterations unless you test all.

The test server is open for developers to see how the new features affect gameplay, not for you to test items you don't have in the normal game. Alterations have already been mass-tested on the test server and they are available in the main game. You can buy them or rent them for a relatively small price. No further testing is required perhaps until new alterations will be added.

Yup, test server is meant to serve the developers information about the planned update and stress test it, it's not made for a player to test things before buying in real servers.

i want to try test server but i need the code :( i see so many people just jump on who arent developers or mods of any kind and just go to the test :/ i want to trey m3s but i dont have accs with them and i saw a dude who was rookie rank go straight into the test server...please help me figure this out :P i am wondering how they do it and with 1k crystals :P i could do so much  :(

1.  All those videos claiming to show you the code, or how to bypass it, are scams.   Most generalissimos don't have a code, and it is only given out to certain special parties.  It is only open during mass testings, and those only happen when a big new update is about to be released.

 

2. In the test server you start with 100 million crystals.  You also want to see how certain paints look on m3's so you know which ones to buy :)

The test server is reserved for "Testers", staff who help the developers test out new updates and give technical feedback. Normal players don't just get codes randomly; there is an application process that is currently only in the Russian forum. Besides technical familiarity with the game and having received a good education, testers need to be fluent in Russian in order to communicate with the game developers easily, so it's not something just everyone can do.

 

Being a tester isn't all fun and games either. They have to give very detailed feedback for the developers, constantly search for bugs, and in some cases try hard to replicate bugs. It's a big responsibility, and not just playing with M3 hulls and turrets 24/7.

 

The only times the test servers are open to other players are during mass testings, where the developers want to stress-test new features and expose them to a wider audience to find anything that didn't show up in the closed testing. That's what all the normal people talking about getting onto the test server are talking about. They're not any more privileged than you are, they just got lucky enough to get wind of the test servers being open for mass testing. And their accounts are cleared after mass testing ends, so it's nothing of permanence.

 

There's no chance of an ordinary player getting a test server code, since they are highly confidential and are never given out to normal players. Anybody claiming to have one to give away is lying and probably trying to scam you. If you really want to get into the test server, just keep an eye on them and wait for mass testings. The only other way you can get in is becoming a tester, and 1) you may not really want that job 2) if you want to be a tester specifically so you can play with turrets and hulls, you're not becoming one.

Yea, the Space paint was really wide-spread, when the test server was open on the weekend with the mass testing. It's a beautiful paint  :wub:

test sever was open but 3/4 garage was not opening or working, thus it should re-open, i had enter the test sever waiting for this problem to be fix but it was the same. what the use of opening test server if the peak period the garage was not opening??? :huh:  :huh:  :huh:  :huh:  :huh:  

The point was to mass-test the new update in conditions of server overload. As you saw for yourself - the test failed since the garage was not opening, which is why the update has not been released yet and is still being worked on so that the garage doesn't glitch out when the balance update is released on the main servers.
