Gold glitch

the golds are pretty glitchy these days,  3 golds in rio dropped where no one was lagging, but like 90% of the people went through it (including me)

I had that happen too, xp bp battle, one gold already, all of a sudden I look over and there is another one dropping. Weird glitch can't say I mind tho :D

Is there a chance the notification disappeared promptly after the alarm rang? If a flag was lost, returned, and captured all at once right after, that would explain in.

 

If that was the case, an update that keeps the gold notification at the bottom of the bar on top needs to be implemented so the notification does not disappear.

You've got to make sure you did indeed miss the alarm - that it wasn't from your own side. It is possible you neglected the gold siren or announcement in-game, especially if you mute the game sounds.

^ When it happened to me, I had my sound off, but no one was looking for a gold zone or anything, just going for the flag like normal. The guy who got it was going for our flag, it dropped and he veered off and grabbed it.

Happened today too, I was playing so normal and no siren or alram popped up.. I have had sound on and heard nothing, And the gold dropped but no one noticed it till someone took it.

When I use chome I  start lagging when gold drops and it pass through my tank.

But in firefox there is no such problem.

In Rio it is not possible to take golds (or any other drops) by jumping on them when they haven't landed yet. It's a known glitch and there's no fix planned for it:

 

Can't pickup drop boxes on the Rio. There is no possibility to pickup drop box until it lands on the ground

Reason: Level glitch.

Workaround: Don't try to pickup flying drop boxes, even gold boxes.

Rio appears to be the map in question. I had the same problem a few weeks ago; a gold dropped (as normal, notification and sound) but a few minutes after the gold was caught the siren sounded again, but there was no notification in this instance.

 

I assumed it was an error and the siren had glitched, but then I caught it, so it was real :D

I was recording a game-play once and a Gold appeared out of nowhere. I was shocked and after trying, immediately stopped the recording to look if the notification had actually appeared. In fact, it did, but only for like a millisecond. Someone returned and captured the flag so quick that the notification dissapeared as soon as it came. We heard the siren though. I think this is what must've happened to you too. 

 

Moreover, the Gold box glitch, you might say, that causes all of the tankers to lag through who jump on it, is all but real. There's only one way to get Golds in Rio, and this is to just sit on top of the Gold box zone. People will jump from the top and miss, and eventually, the Gold will 'lag though' to you.
