Programming club!

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow programmers! This topic is so we can share ideas and code, and have fun!

My programming language of choice is Python!

I made some cryptography stuff using Python, and now I am doing a machine learning course with it!

Oh, and this is my first Topic, so please alert me to anything I did wrong!

Well, I'm an (amateur) programmer.

I know HTML (if that counts :P) and have a basic knowledge of java, C++ and C#.

Nice! I don't think HTML really counts but C++ is great!

I spent a few days with some 'friends' doing a little JavaScript early on this year (just some very basic stuff). Now that I think about it, I definitely should've done C++ instead where there might've been some more inspiration for me to continue.

I know Java, C#, VB, HTML, CSS and some unofficial languages like AHK.

I'm not a professional though, still learning.

My opinion:

Don't start with things like C# or whatever. I'd recommend you to start with things like HTML, CSS and then JavaScript even they don't count as "real" programming languages. But they kinda introduce how coding works and makes other languages easier to understand since you had coding experience before. Just my opinion ~~

Not a programmer, but I did some light scripting in Unix at my job.

Nice!

Unix is great, and I have done tons of programs in bash, though only when I have to because bash's syntax is horrible!

Even professionals are still learning all the time!
