Tanki MUST rethink Ricochet's upcoming game balance!

As a wasp pilot i don't even invest in Rico protection, because even M2 Rico hits rock my M2 wasp so hard, that I can neither escape (it makes me crash into corners) nor fight back (I cant aim). And.. I am used to escape and aim back while beeing rocked around.. but Rico is simply the worst. The impacts come so fast.. and while the twins keep missing some shots and I have  aslightly chance; facing a rico means I can literaly stop my ride and wait to be downed.

 

But face it.. nearly all turrets with rapid fire loose impact force. Even smokys impact force (once of its two outstanding characteristics) is reduced. Rocking off your enemies aim was a maijor part in this game - was - as the future will not be like it was the last 10 months. All turrets loose their impact force (also the un-loved Vulcans) and the game will be easier and more striaigt forwards. Rico just goes along with it.

 

Actually.. I don't know if I like it.

Sure it will make my life as a Wasp easier.. but on the other hand I liked the challenge too.

I see that Vulcan truely needed a nerf on impact as it shot an uninterrupted stream of bullets.. but a Rico has to a finite energy pool. A Rico without drugs is an enemy, that can be overcome like he is today.

 

Rico comes with one of the lowest DPM values, while it has good TTK values. The damage it takes - especially vs. light hulls - is drained down to it's impact force.. on the other side the recharge takes a while once it is empty.

Actually.. I dont see Ricos in the hands of so many tankers.. and if I see them, also the pros do not necessarily lead the scoreboard. all in all just those stats tell me, it does not feel overpowered if you take its overall battlefield effectivity into account.

DPM..Damage Per Minute

 

 

The average overall damage that you can deal withing 60 seconds, considering your reload and reacharge times. Very usefull indicator for CP Polygon or for midfield players

 

Example (postbalace, M3)

- Thunder will be able to deal 20.100 hp damage per minute (without considering splash)

- Rico can deal only 11.300 hp damage per minute

 

 

 

TTK..Time To Kill

 

 

The time it takes you to kill an enemy tank, started from the moment your first shot flies until he is downed.
It tells you which tank stands tall in a 1-1 standoff, if none of both misses a shot.

 

Imagine a ThunderHornet vs a RicoHornet (all m3; pre-balance values (today))

- The Thunder takes 2 Shots, so the TTK is 2,5sec ([1st.shot][reload 2,5sec][2nd.shot + kill]).

- The Rico takes 5 shots to kill, meaning 4 reload periods, so the TTK is 1,99 sec.

 

The Rico stands tall and will get only one hit from the Thunder... meaning the Thunder user should not sit still but be creative.. or get a better protected ride.

 

 

 

Ricos bad DPM and good TTK is the reason, why you see not many midfield Rico campers.. Rico is a turret for killers, not for patient damage dealers.

Rico at m3/m4 level needs to be nerfed. But not nearly as bad as Vulcan and isida. I'm afraid isida is not getting nerfed enough. 3 or 4 M4 isidas can rule ANY game on RU2 - ANY game. That is not right. Vulcan needs to be either nerfed severely or done away with. Twins needs to be nerfed severely also. Lay a brick on the space bar my a__.

No, no, Isida - OK, yes it should be nerfed. But Vulcan and Twins - нет

I agree with @Golfinray on Vulcan but only on the impact force. Isida needs a nerf, but the nerf it's receiving will make it so underpowered. It's already hard enough hitting your opponent, now try it with lower DPS and self heal! Twins, however, doesn't need a nerf right now. There's quite a bit of people with Twins protection.
