How To record videos / How I record (SOFT, CODECS AND SO ON)

Hello videomaker, this is a little guide for making videos. I'm a youtuber myself and this is all the information I have learned for last two years, about video making on youtube.

 

So before we start you should know that for a really high quality videos you will need a strong pc. ( High quality youtube video example http://prnt.sc/cuxn8r )

 

NOTE: FOR REAL 2K VIDEOS YOU MUST HAVE 2K MONITOR + RECORDING SOFTWARE RECORD RESOLUTION SET ON 2K AND IT MUST BE RENDERED IN 2K. 

 

This is what I use for making such videos. 

 

MY PC: GPU: GeForce GTX 970

CPU: Intel® Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz

RAM: 16 GB RAM 

Resolution: 2560 x 1440, 144Hz

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

 

Recording software:

 

BANDICAM (Bought from official website)

 

This software is my main weapon. I have tried softwares like Mirillis action and FRAPS. But for a game like tanki online BANDICAM Licensed version is a must have software. Software works like a charm with chrome or any other browsers. Here is a screenshot of my settings, feel free to copy.  http://prnt.sc/cuxt09 < for the second window on your right side you need to go in format settings. If you have slower pc, you should play with settings. Insted of full size try 720P. http://prnt.sc/cuxu8b and change quality to 80. http://prnt.sc/cuxuuf

 

SHADOWPLAY:

 

I would recomend this software ONLY IF you play tanki online in Tanki Online Cleint or via Flashplayer standalone.

ONLY IF you have PC with GeForce GTX 650 or higher graphics card or Notebook with GeForce GTX 660M or higher graphics. Non_optimus. You must any of upper mentioned stuff for this to work. Then you must go to http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download and download Gforce experince which will also include SHADOWPLAY. If you will download this and you will need screenshots of my settings ask me in comments and I will help.

 

Now time for some editing software.

 

Sony Vegas 11, 12 or 13. They all work fine and have all the tools you need for basic high quality editing. This software is kinda limited if you would compare it to Adobe After Effects, but with some simple tricks you can make your videos look cool. You can ofcourse buy this software via official website or you can google search for cracked versions (Turrent). I'm not gonna talk about editing. This is a guide for recording + rendering (saving) videos. I will try to help if there will be any editing questions.

 

I've always wondered how people upload smooth, high fps + good resolution videos. I have tried millions of presets and ways but none of them worked. BUT than i found codec that solved all the problems. Codec is called h.264 and belive or not, this thing should be your only friend when it comes to rendering of the videos xD. You can download it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/ 

 

After installing it you need to go in Sony Vegas and setup a preset. Highlight your video, go to File > Render as and in templates serch for template called: VIDEO FOR WINDOWS (*AVI). http://prnt.sc/cuy3gv 

Choose any of them, click customize template and copy my settings http://prnt.sc/cuy4rl

We are not done yet, we need to configure video format, for this you downloaded h.264 codec. http://prnt.sc/cuy771

 

Click configure and copy my settings again :D http://prnt.sc/cuy7tk. Hit OK and you are ready to render. Video should be smooth, 60fps. NOTE: It may take some time, depends on video length. 30+ minute video takes me 4-5 hours to render but it's worth it.

 

 

This is the basic thing. It seems complicated but trust me after some time this will be easy for you. I may have missed some details, if you will have ANY questions, about lower settings or slower PC/notebooks and so on,  ASK ME. (explain your situation in details)

Because it\s written but actually its really easy, but eh for a good video you have to work hard.
